A perfect snapshot of Jesse's thoughts, cares and the hurt he must have felt. Loved the line about the beheading. And how hurt he is!

You know I was sitting and studying and suddenly, out of nowhere I had this thought: I have to read "his Brand" right now.

So I did.

I love the style of this fiction. The repetition in all the right places. How you in Jess' head, but how it can be inferred by analyzing his behavior anyway.

The despair in Jess' thoughts is killing me. I think that these extreme thoughts are exactly what pushed him onto Shane. And they are extreme, but from his point of view - he's left with nothing. No hope. It's a dreadful thing, being left without hope.

How would he face the world after her return when he knows that it's over. Like you wrote "she hadn’t intended on coming back. He got that now."

It a beautiful insight on one moment in time.

This is so wonderful I'm at a loss for words. You journey back to the end of Season 2 - the days of yore we all wish would be revived. And you master The Great Enigma of Jess. I am shocked and I very much love this piece.

That was so...ah. It summed up everything about what he must have been feeling in such a...Jess-like manner. It was wonderful.

The parts where you describe his making himself a bad habit of hers' and how he covers the smell of her shampoo with smoke is so descriptive, so true. Little words with a lot of meaning.

"– leaving a trail of skin-smoke wherever he touched until they both carried the same bitter scent..."

That was the best line of this whole piece. It was...ah. So many double entendres, so much emotion in one movement or action. It was amazing.

I'm ashamed I didn't read this sooner. Thanks for a wonderful piece for a diehard Lit searching for some "quality material," if you may. It seems that there are just too many Trorys and Java Junkies, and not enough Lits. This was amazing. I don't know if it's a one-parter (i'm sure it is) but if you had decided to continue with it, trust me, I'd be reading/reviewing every chapter.

Sensational. Awesome job. I can't really drum up any constructive criticism because this was so, so, so good.

oh. i really like that, i thought it was about rory at first...then i got it after the blonde hair thing. no i really liked it...and the repition at the end...very powerful...sorry, i've just done an english yearly, im analysing everyhting.
