Well that was...anti-climactic.

Um, why does Ben get a pass on being a psychotic serial killer? Seriously, why? And Dek really needs to stop bragging to everyone he slept with Max. It's gross.

I get that this story is a million years old and I'm not sure if these comments actually go anywhere anymore, but I sometimes you just need to vent. WHY IS THIS STORY TRYING TO TAKE DOWN ALEC? Why is he the butt of every joke now? Why is he just demoted and useless and even Max barely cares about him? And every guy is obsessed with Max and wants to paw at her while smirking at Alec. He was the only reason I'm reading this stupid story.

So many irritating OCs. SO MANY.

This story is a million years old, but man, I hate what it did to the Alec from the previous story. Crushing.

First off, I LOVE this story. I read it 8, maybe 10 years ago, then lost the bookmark and was looking for it off and on every since, so yay!

BUT

Something I don't understand about this story. Between the last one and this one (stories, not chapters), Max went from respecting and understanding that Lydecker cared for them and for her, to her fearing and mistrusting him again. This despite knowing that he'd punished Unit 6, fired many of the trainers and medics that let her abuse continue. She knew that Renfro was garbage and that she did her own thing despite what Deck wants, so why would she assume Renfro's betrayal was on Deck?

If anything, of anyone in authority at Manticore, Deck would be the only one she'd trust. She knows he wasn't there the night Renfro torched the base. If she doubted him, why not follow him, wait until he's alone, and talk to him?

But... but...

I LOVED THIS STORY SO MUCH !

All I can manage to say right now is : what about The Book? I want to know all about The Book ! LOL

1- Alec and Ben could be super friends if they both get their head out of their ass. The twins together would be awesome !
Besides, I know Ben was a serial killer (teeth? what the hell man?), but I just want to hug and cuddle him...
2- The Pix scene. You made me cry like a child at Christmas morning

i can't believe you made a whole new dark angel world, from before the series to after the series. Its amazing. Im usually not too fond of Max/Alec but I have to say you mixed them up in a very believable way. The only thing i thought that was too much was the transgenic werewolf idea, however thats just one paragraph of an epic story so i can't complain about it. I wish i would have found your website eventually as you said you had a complete version of one of your chapters (even though it might just have been lemons) i still like to read complete stories and it makes me wonder if that webpage had more tidbits of the story, but its been more than 10 years since you finished this saga so i have to say im just glad i found it. I had not seen or heard of anything having to do with dark angel in years, im really glad my wonderings around this webpage lead me to your page.

Thank you so much for staying with this and for posting this fic. It's let me enjoy the DA universe longer than the networks did (although with the way the books ended, I dunno that I'd want a S3). Your version is way better. Thanks so much for keeping Malec alive
