Their relationship is always so rocky. It seem so real. There are high and low point. I love them. And they both are so hot too. That is a bonus.

This was a joy to read. Your take on Gojyo is interesting and well-written, and so is Hakkai. It made me smile at the end without feeling too sweet or the least bit forced. Not only /that/, but even better (to me) was Goku's bit- insightful Goku! Who still manages to act like Goku! And Sanzo who is grouchy and not-clingy but still scarily perceptive and to-the-point. Fabulous. This could be habit-forming.

Ah, Hakkai. My squishy. *squishes him* Thank you so much for writing a Hakkai-centric story which allows us to see something other than his omnipresent cheerful/serene/placating facade. While I've always imagined Hakkai as a switch myself, I can see him establishing himself as a top first to dispel any misunderstandings. *eg*

Your characterization of the others varies in strength but overall holds up well. I'm inclined to think you overestimate the innocent wisdom that lurks behind Goku's ever-open and complaining mouth and give him too much insight. On the other hand, his self-contradiction about Kannan seems to set that back a notch, so I don't really know. Confusing, but that's Goku, so I've let it slide.

Terse, grumpy Sanzo gives me glee. "I went to the bar. Gojyo was there." So very Sanzo. *dons bulletproof armor before squishing him* However, he only has a bit part in this story, so I won't dwell on him, just say you did much with little.

And last but not least, the cockroach. Heh. I can't say whether Gojyo feels in character for me here because frankly, I've always thought Minekura left the kappa with the short straw when it came to distributing dimension among the Sanzo-ikkou. Canon (I'll have you know I resisted a pun just now) aside, if I were Hakkai, the Gojyo I would most enjoy seducing would be the one you have here: naturally insecure but not willing to give up and perfectly willing to accept the gift Hakkai offers. A delicious combination.

The ending's a little sappier than I'd like, but since I'm not much of a romantic, I suppose that's okay, and it's certainly not enough to bring the whole fic down. Huzzah for Hakkai! Huzzah for Sanzo-ikkou! Huzzah for Leo! Huzzah! Ooh boy, this got long. I think I covered what I wanted, though. Ja ne!

Very interesting concept for a story. My favoirte Hakkai in a whole different light. I do find it was tastefully done to my satisfaction. More stories?

Wah! That was great! Really sweet and thoughtful, very in character on all counts and I LOVE the implied seme-ness of Hakkai! There's not enough 'Hakkai on top, Gojyo not' fics in the world I think! If you feel inclined to write more, don't hold back!

But I din think the title was too inspiring... oh and some minor errors, like "Rain would be the most accurate indicator as the which way the winds within Hakkai were blowing..." it should be "the most accurate indicator as TO which way.." but great job with the story still, this is going on my favorites list! thanks for the great writing!
