Reviews for A Spot of Trouble
Tripoli chapter 19 . 11/24/2018
I remember finding this story way back in like 2008 back when I first started reading fics for HH, and this was one of my favs, both because it is so well written and it can be so hard to find one centering around Carter. 10 years later and I still come back to read it. Your writing is so well paced and beautiful, and the characterization is spot on.
SweetWritingIsMyLife chapter 1 . 8/21/2018
Great story! Very well written.
leebeenz chapter 1 . 7/12/2016
This was great, I loved it. Very tense reading, I couldn't put it down. I'm so pleased that Hochstetter went away empty handed and that Carter was going to be okay. I really liked the way you wrote all the characters, especially Carter.

I'd have given him a one finger salute myself...

Nicely done. Yes, I'm sure H. will be back to cause problems again.
SaraiEsq chapter 10 . 9/23/2014
That's the Schultz I know and love.
bonesteel chapter 1 . 11/11/2013
This is one of my favourites, can't seem to put it to bed, have to read it one more time, still waiting for the end of rubber band man, hope you can finish this.

Lots of love
Terri Spencer chapter 19 . 10/20/2013
I've only recently started reading Hogans Heroes fanfiction, and this story is one of the best that I have read. You captured the torture of Carter very realistically, because you know that the Gestapo did that and much worse to human beings. In fact, I always wondered how Robert Clary felt about appearing in a sit-com set in a POW camp during WW2, when he was a survivor of the Holocaust.''

I don't know if you ever watched Star Trek DS9, but a writer named Gabrielle Lawson wrote a story called "Oswicim." In it, the crew is sent back to 1942 or 1943 by a Changling, and Bashir is sent to Auschwitz.
thesunsets chapter 19 . 3/3/2009
Phew! He's okay! You had me right with Carter there. Poor guy. He's such a good soldier! I hope that Gestapo bastard rots.
AnotherJounin chapter 19 . 5/23/2007
Nice fic! I thoroughly enjoyed it. You tied up any loose plot ends pretty nicely and I thought everyone was very in character. The only thing I noticed was a wrong word- you wanted voluminous not voluptous in reference to Schultz's coat.;)
nom-de-plume13 chapter 19 . 1/24/2005
Well done! Good overall pacing on the story, good (and different) plot, characters acting like they should. Now it's time for the author to act like authors should and get to writing another! :)
Misty Jezierski chapter 19 . 1/18/2005
I realy enjoyed the story. Keept me on the edge of my seat. Good work!
Lauren the Oboe one chapter 19 . 1/15/2005
Excellent! BRAVO!

I was kinda laughing halfway through when I realized that, while this whole story revolves around Carter, the poor guy isn't in it very much! Though that's just the way it goes. After what he went through he deserved a few chapters "off". I'd be VERY interested to see a coda to this...a few month later, Carter all healed up having to get back into the game and seeing if he deals just fine or if that first mission back brings back some awful memories.

Once agan, great job!

ML Miller Breedlove chapter 19 . 1/15/2005
This was a great story. I love happy endings. Well at least as happy as you can get, being in a prison camp.

Now that Andrew is on the mend, maybe they can all get some rest! So they'll be ready for your next story. This one was too good, you can't stop writing now! Marty B
Becky chapter 19 . 1/13/2005
What a great ending! I hope that the promise of Hochstetter returning means we'll be seeing another story from you soon! :-D
