I am not sure how or why they accepted something that would lead to legal incest, with someone who would also be committing statutory rape, but that’s the other side of the Pedophile Batman Problem (trying to come up with a different name for this part of it, as I use that term to refer to all sorts of complex PR stuff, like how in Harry Potter and the Methods of Rationality, “Harry” (actually Tom) is one of the most powerful individuals in the magical world, being the Head Mugwump, holder of the Line of Merlin, and possessor of the Philosopher’s Stone, and also Literally Voldemort- but he’s also an unambiguously positive force for not just Magical Britain, but the entire world as a whole, so if that cake to light, well, there’d be a problem)- if Bruce is abusing his Robins, it’d be hard to punish him without revealing that he’s Batman, and if he *isn’t* abusing his sons, but people think he is, then to reveal the truth of that would *also* require people to learn that he’s Batman.

I suppose that neither is entirely relevant as long as it’s never taken to court, but this is one of the best fics of this type, because all the others have some kind of Deus ex Machina come and save the day, having the social worker realize that she’s prejudiced due to her past experiences, because Bruce clearly loves Dick, which is evidence that he’s not an abuser, which, that’s not how it works, or have it revealed that the CPS agent was actually part of a human trafficking ring, and then, it doesn’t even do the “thrown out on a technicality” thing that would make the most sense, because there’s a *lot* of damning evidence going on there- while all the other recordings, when analyzed, showed signs of being edited, Dick’s... was not. The CPS agent is later recorded as mentioning that Dick’s a virgin to another trafficker, but in his confession reveals that he has means of faking virginity, so there’s not the most proof there, and also, there’s all the signs of physical abuse, which you’d likewise would need to know about the whole Robin thing to understand?

Most of the fics that deal with the other side of the problem (a Bruce that’s *actually* abusing the Robins) have Bruce be wildly ooc, not following his rule against killing- a lot of the other ones of that sort are dead, or else wise end on an unsatisfactory note, although there’s a nice oneshot that ends with Supes learning about it and leaves it open ended, with it unclear how things will proceed from thereon.

Totally needed a "not-so-happy ending" warning. It was well-written and super interesting but, like someone else said, I wouldn't have read it if I had known - that ending really hit hard. Overall great job!

The ending was disappointing. I was hoping for him to go back to Bruce but the evidence was stacked. I’m honestly upset but the story was well written except for the random âs.

Oh. My. God. I normally never leave reviews on this site because I can't be bothered to log in (yup, I'm lazy) but this was TOO GOOD. I've read quite a few of your stories and loved all of them, whether they've made me laugh, cry, or think a little deeper. This one, in particular, I was extremely impressed by. The amount of thought that must've gone into this entire plot is incredible, and all without losing characterisation! I absolutely adore your writing.
BUT THAT ENDING THOUGH! AHHHHHHHH! XD. It's so perfect - no one can question the Police Commissioner's motives/activities etc. GAHHHH

I like the story i really do. But i highly doubt that Dick qouls just sit there and let it happen like that. He seems to me like the type to fight harder for something like this. And Batman doesn't strike me as someone who would let Dick get away with that, even if he was busy.

I thought the story was very well written and well thought out. The plot was excellent. I just really, really wish you had put a warning up at the beginning or in the summary- somewhere- that it was a bad ending. I got really sucked in- great writing- and am left extremely upset by the horrible ending. He lost everything and ends up being the foster brother of the girl he's sleeping with...and Bruce is alone and Alfred lost too. I really not knocking your story, as I said it was great writing, I wouldn't be this emotional right now if it wasn't, but I would never have read it if I knew it ended badly. Deathfics need warnings- so does this one.
