thanks for your story! it's starting well so far :)
as for the tea - i've found that it's not bitter if it either doesn't steep for very long (say 3-5 min) or if there is really very little tea in it (say 1 tea bag for 1L water, regardless of steeping time).

Rather astounding that Snape handles the situation so well, so calm so far - or maybe he just keeps up his mask very well. After all he fears werewolves (esp. Remus) since that "prank" of Sirius when he very nearly killed him as a student.
