Hahaha, I really appreciate this inside into eomer's head. The fact that it never even occurs to him that she would be even more nervous than him, I feel like you really pinpointed the emotional differences between men and women. Without disparaging either. It's just how they are. Women think in love form, men sink in respect form.

I also really loved the mentions of how he admired her before he even started talking marriage for political gain. Because a lot of stories start with him noticing her as a political gain, and I have never really been fond of that. I am glad to see someone Branch away from that and decide that he must have seen her for herself and liked her, at least as a person. The book doesn't speak of it but surely he saw her afterward in Minas Tirith, being that her father fought in that war. And it's nice to think that she wasn't a total useless noblewoman, who had no idea how to act in times of War.

I also find it hilariously fitting that he never even thought of marriage until his sister left. Yeah nothing like good dose of loneliness to make a guy realize he needs a woman...

Wow, that was pretty deep and I have to say I liked this a lot more than I thought I would. I myself tend to think that eomer and Lothiriel had an arrangement and then fell in love, but I never thought about what it would be like on the wedding night if it was arranged. I mean I can imagine the terror and awkwardness for Lothiriel even if she's trying to absorb it like a noblewoman.

I can definitely picture Eomer being a gentleman and willing to delay everything if it made Lothiriel more comfortable. He definitely doesn't strike me as someone who would force himself on anybody. Rohan itself is very honorable and I imagine their people will be too.

I never quite thought about the cultural differences between dol Amaroth and Rohan, but yeah I would imagine they would be very different. Perhaps in Dol Amaroth there would be arranged marriages and women who were not allowed very much freedom, especially as their Kingdom begin to fall in knowledge.

Regardless, this was shockingly very sweet, and I appreciated that you expanded upon a side of Eomer and what he might act like. And for a wedding night with someone you barely know, Lorthiriel I daresay enjoyed it more than she would have imagined. Certainly love has the potential to grow from here. I mean with Eomer... *snorts* yeah..

I love this story so much! I would love to read it from reverse viewpoints, chapter 1 from Eomer and chapter 2 from Lotheriel.

I loved getting to see his point of view, especially the part about how a wife/queen could understand him more than anyone else. Sad that his relationships with his friends had changed, but that makes sense.

Her feeling of abandonment afterwards was very interesting and very real. I love that she analyzed how it must be different for him, feared that he would leave and finally ended up sleeping in his arms.

I thought this was wonderful. I enjoyed how you captured Lothiriel's nervousness and how her trust in Eomer (and his great consideration for her) made way for the beautiful experience they shared. This is a great example of a lovely M-rated story.
