I think you got the tone of this exactly right :)

Ugh this is so well written. Your writing has this wonderful, linguistic flavor and your grasp of his character is so honest. You write about him as he is without glorifying him or being unforgiving and it's just so spot on. Great work here.

It's so rare that you find a fanfic with as much power as this one. The eloquence and almost-poetry that carries throughout it is wonderful.

Mustang is my favorite character in FMA with Hawkeye close behind him. He's a very complex character and you portrayed him spot on. Hawkeye, too is well balanced here, between the soldier and the woman.

I loved the final paragraph (the prose, not the verse) and I'm not afraid to admit that I had tears in my eyes when I finished reading this. Long story short: This fanfic is magnificent.

This fic was so elegant, the writing style was really smooth. I like Riza's perspective, and how Roy's slight gestures mean so much more. And I believe they are enjoying themselves in his office... ;)

THE STORY IS FINE BUT THERE ARE SEVERAL MORE VERSES TO THE SONG THAN THE ONE SHOWN

Wonderful imagery! Very good portrayals of the characters. I feel everything fits so well (except the sex part). Although I know it is the image so often portrayed for Roy I've never felt that fit his true character.

That aside, this was fantastic and I'm not sure how I missed it in the past.

That was the best Roy-centric story I've ever read! You have written a very credible biography of Roy Mustang. You gave his character justice with your fic. It's amazing how you pulled him forward to be glimped, known and understood. I love the devotion of Riza to her Lt. Col. Mustang. :) You wrote a very good fic. Keep on writing! :D

Wonderfully written, honestly - I love everything about it. Characterization, the fantastic literary voice .. everything, except for the ever-repressing RoyRiza. It's nothing about your story, it's just me being a jackass about RoyRiza in general. 'Cause really, you should feel impressed with yourself; this is the first story with even slightly HINTING Royai going on my favorites. First, like ever.

God, this is amazing. Yes, I'm aware that this was posted...uh...years ago...but that's ok. Damn. This was just...bleh. I'm speechless. That very last line...argh, perfection in every sence of the word. The entire fic had a very...well, for lack of a better word, POETIC quality about it. Maybe it was the impressive vocabulary. I know I've read this before, but I'm an absolutly horrible reviewer...still, on rereading this, it came to my mind that I HAD to review it. So yeah. Just concider this to be another glowing compliment to add to what I see is a very long list of glowing compliments.

I can ttly imagine Riza feeling that way, this story ttly captured her character. (applause)
