I tend to think of Leia as a woman who favours action over words or rather, perhaps, a woman who is very ready to resort to action when she knows words are of no more use. I love the way you elucidate that notion here. Your Leia-voice is spot on. I especially love her confident inward dismissal of her father's concerns that she might have been infected by the corruption rife in the Senate. ("He needn't have worried. I was as immune to it as he.") That strikes me as perfectly in-character for the Leia I love: fierce, strong and steady as a rock.
