Very good! You know, I'm a little sad that you aren't continuing with this, because it's such a good story. Sabriel's thoughts seem very young, as they should be at her age, except for some rather advanced vocabulary (but she *was* good at English!) The descriptions of the lessons in Death were absolutely perfect. I also like how you wrote about Abhorsen, and kept him wuite in character. Bravo!

This is really good but I'm pretty sure her father brought the Book with him every time he came as a sending and then took it away with him. I don't know but, thats what I remember even though I've only read Sabriel once.

You did amazing on this chapter! The way you made death sound and your entire description was perfect. I always thought that Sabriels Dad was very sexxy. Ha ha ever since Lirael, when her mom sleeps with him. I am so insane!

One of the things that I missed in Nix's books was Sabriel's time at school. Hopefully, this story will help address that gap.

One problem with your story is that Abhorsen never left the Book of the Dead with Sabriel: Sabriel studied it during his visits and he took it with him when he left.

Other than that, this is quite good.
