| Ranuel chapter 11 . 6/20/2005 You had a really great idea for a story and the plot moves along nicely. The actual writing needs a lot of work however. There are many spelling errors of the sort not caught by spell check and the insertion of author's comments into the body of the text in a serious story just does not work. It jerks your reader out of the story. I see that you have a sequel in the works, I would suggest revising this story first and fixing the errors. An older Beta reader would be very helpful. One error that cannot be fixed due to it being central to the plot is having Inuyasha and his mother live in a hut. It is clearly shown that they lived in a palace and she was a woman of high status in both the manga and the anime. It's something that can be overlooked though but if possible if you do revise the story you might want to explain how they came to be there. |
