I loved the story. I had so much fun reading it. I was so amused at how the ballet rats act whenever they encountered Erik and the ending was so bittersweet.

This makes me feel so emotional :'''') I probably won't be able to point out all the things I love about this chapter (or the entire work, honestly), but:

-It may just be me who's a bad reader, but I can't believe it took me until this point to realize that this story follows the event progression in the novel ahahaha

-Meg being thankful because her mom's replacement is killed because I can believe that of Meg.

-"and if she wanted to shame herself by marrying someone of much higher status," indeed, future Empress Meg :P

-I love how Meg is so emotionally attached to Erik as we readers are :)

Tbh the ballet girls are so sweet 3 I love Jammes' change of heart after her encounter with an angry Erik, but I do wonder what he was angry about? (Raoul? The incompetence of the managers? La Carlotta?)

I love this line in particular: "It was inevitable that one of them would bump into their favourite Phantom..." Favourite Phantom, indeed!

Throwback to chapter 1: I saw a reviewer that says they're surprised that Meg doesn't know Christine, and I have to add that I like that you include this bit from the book - that Christine was basically an unknown in the chorus that not even the nosy ballet rats know her :P

But back to this chapter! I find this to be the most adorable story among the non-Meg rats. I also love that Erik just indulges them, "I'm not some genie in a lamp," indeed. In a good mood, Erik would totally be that indulgent uncle to little kids!

Ah, a civil encounter with Monsieur Fantome. More reason for Janette to disbelieve the exaggerated tales of the ballet rats, I guess! I genuinely love how Janette is not (that much) intimidated by Erik's antics.

The ballet girls are such dramatic babies 3 Of course they're going to turn their /horrifying experience/ into the biggest soap opera possible!

Also, I love how Erik uses his ghostly powers to... intimidate little ballet girls into being punctual, of all things. I can totally imagine this being canon!

I love this fic so much! It's so faithful to Leroux, and the characters feel so real. I love how you included Erik's comments on the ballet girls - "Little Jammes dances like a cow prancing in the field" has always been one of my favourite lines in the novel. Also, I completely adore the relationship between Meg and Erik. I truly feel like they can be the kind of friends who enjoy each other's company in companionable silence!

That was funny and sad and sweet.

I loved how a lot of his interactions with them was being bitchy about their dancing technique.

A sad ending, but, unfortunately, it had to be one. You did a wonderful job with the emotions and the characters, oh, it was all so good for something relatively short. Congratulations on finishing it!

Poor Erik is still entertainment for bored people, and it still isn't in the good way. An interesting chapter. Great job with it!

An interesting chapter. Sad, because of his face, and the reaction it garners, but he handled it rather well when Pauline fainted. And Gabrielle may not be the sharpest knife in the drawer, but she turned out to be a sweetie in the end. And that line about Gabrielle keeping Pauline company, or at least as much company as an unconscious person needs, was just icing on the cake.

Janette's skepticism was a lot of fun. I wonder who's next? Happily, I don't have to wait to find out.

You know, everyone alludes to Erik's activities as the Phantom. It's fun to finally get to see some of it. I loved it. *adds story to favorites* *reads on*

Though Meg not knowing who Christine is puzzles me, I love the rest of the story. *scurries off to read more*
