I really enjoyed this fic. The premise was fun, and characterization in the first couple of chapters especially were spot on. I feel like this could have easily been twice as long to allow for a more natural- feeling progression from dislike to trust, especially the showdown with the brothers standing together. Mulder's was the only voice who didn't really come through clearly, due to the quick switcheroo from hatred to trust.

Wow! It was a very-very good story. I am grateful for it. The plot is really interesting and your language is perfect (you have spetial thanks for it - it is somewhat rare thing in faniction).

I think you need a review simply because good Krycek stories get very few reviews.

It was a nice read. At times you played Alex really well. Plus, I could seriously hear Skinner's voice in my head whenever he spoke, so you did a good job there.

I don't know how easy it would be for Mulder to forgive Alex. I mean, poor Ratboy was beat up by Fox every time they saw one another.

But your theory on them being twins makes a lot of freaky sense. I mean, it is kinda odd that CSM never had Alex killed. Krycek knew enough to blow The Project wide open at any point an time. The more I thought about them possibly being twins, the more I liked the idea. Plus, it also explains a few things from the eps "Essence" and "Existence". It explains Alex's reluctance to kill Mulder, and also Fox's reaction to Krycek's death. At least, to me, I felt that Mulder was sad that Alex was dead. Either he was upset with Skinner killing Krycek, or he was upset that he hadn't done it himself.

Anywho...

Good story. It's too bad it's so hard to find a good Krycek story that doesn't involve M/K Slash or just a badly written Krycek. Yours and my own are the only ones I've seen on here that are serious but are not a one chapter shot or a slash.
