I first read this story years ago (I'm such a delinquent) but it is still my fave WOEICS story of all time. You really capture the essence of the show- the relationship with Carmen and the detectives. It would have made a fine ending for the series.

I've been refamiliarizing myself with shows and books that I loved as a kid, and decided to look through the Carmen Sandiego section. I am so glad that I did, because your story is definately the best Carmen fic on this site.

Your take on the relationship between Zack, Ivy, and Carmen is the one that I like best, and I love how you wrote/characterized each of them.

I really liked your story. Your portrayal of Carmen, Ivy, Zack and the Chief was brillant. You really should write more, it was very good.

I enjoyed this story very much. I searched for Carmen Sandiego on a whim and found this fic.

It is very well written, and it's the take on Carmen that I really like.

I like how you kept a serious tone, after all Zack and Ivy's jobs are at stake, but you stuck to the humor that is an important element of the whole show.

And the ending was great. I like how she respectfully waited two weeks to break out of jail, and how she sent them a post card.

I read this several months ago, but never got around to reviewing it despite how richly this story deserves it.

Hands down the best Carmen fic I've read due to the depth it brings to all the characters. I agree with others that your portrayal of the Lady in Red as a genuine and tragic figure creates a great deal of emotional resonance throughout the story. Your pacing is fantastic, the ending lines in each section of text pulling the reader further into the tale.

I have nothing but admiration for this work, and I hope you would consider writing something following these events. I'm immensely curious as to how the dynamic between the detective pair and Carmen changes after this.

I sense a sequel in the making! I like the ending. It's sorta what I anticipated. It's great. I'm glad she escaped, but I think that's to be expected. :)

*gasp!* Carmen turning herself in? WOW! I mean, that's a rarity in her case... or in any detective's case on the look out for Carmen Sandiego! I must say, the details up until now were well researched! It would have been interesting to find out what other artifacts were stolen.

I got confused at first when you described Carmen to have raven coloured hair and earlier in Chapter 1, blue eyes. I then realized that Where on EARTH is Carmen Sandiego, she does have black hair, but I had the impression that she had brown eyes.

I think it's good that you incorporated the "chat" with Carmen and Ivy here. It shows the readers both sides of what they were feeling towards the other. And Carmen was never a hurtful criminal ;) There is some good in her!

I'm predicting that Carmen is plotting an escape plan as she is on her way to her captivity. I'll only know if I read on! :)
