ShortGirlWithAPen chapter 1 . 10/9/2016
I loved this. They were both written so beautifully and I could believe everything you were writing. I loved how you wrote Sirius wanting Remus to touch him, especially with being in Azkaban for so long.
Forrest chapter 1 . 4/21/2005

I especially like the ending! Its super
moondagny chapter 1 . 12/5/2004
Very nice! I second the reviewer who was glad this wasn't chock full of steamy sex... it can get a bit overwhelming in this genre. I for one prefer to read about the *characters*, and you write for them beautifully!
Allocin chapter 1 . 8/26/2004
"Sirius swallowed hard. "Touch me." He ran a hand over his face. "It's been – Merlin, I don't know how long since I've felt the touch of a human. I mean, since I've really been touched." He quickly glanced at Remus. "When you held me in the Shrieking Shack... I-I thought I would go mad. It... It had been so long and I –"

Remus suddenly placed his hands on Sirius's face, making him falter and lose his words in the tears that had begun to fall down his cheek. Remus moved his arm so it fell across Sirius's chest and he felt his ragged breathing as he began to touch him. His fingers flew across Sirius's forehead, temple and eyelids. Tears were now streaming down Sirius's face and Remus brushed them away with his thumb. He leaned forward and pressed his cheek against Sirius's. Sirius shivered underneath the weight of Remus's body and a dry sob escaped his lips. He tried to speak, but was silenced by Remus's mouth on his own. This touch alone made up for all twelve years without any human contact. As Remus pressed into him, he wrapped his arms around Sirius's thin, trembling body."

Perhaps it's very bad of me to quote such a huge chunk from your story, but that just made my heart ache so very much for both of them. You don't really realise how very touch-starved they both must feel (or at least, I didn't until I read this). 12 years of isolation in a world of 6 billion humans; it's frightening.

And the way you describe Sirius' near-despair, and Remus' fingers fluttering over his face trying to reassure both of them that Sirius really is there, in the flesh, whole and alive. *wibbles*

Beautifully written.
pinkpapercrowns chapter 1 . 8/18/2004
That was beautiful. It makes so much sense for Sirius to be starved for physical comfort, he is a dog. . . I love the two of them together. I like slash, but it was nice to read a fic that wasn't all sex. For the two of them to have sex as soon as Sirius gets back doesn't seem plausible. Very nice. :)
spiritualized chapter 1 . 8/15/2004
this story really *is* great. i like the idea of sirius missing the touches of human, 'cause it's just realistic, even if you usually don't think about that in the book, you know. it's always about hunger and that... ah, well, i'm really getting addicted to sirius/remus *grin* well, i really liked your story! *adds to fave stories and is going to search after another sirius/remus XD*
Elphin chapter 1 . 8/11/2004
This is an absolutely beautiful story. You’re an amazing writer. You’ve captured Remus’ personality very well and you write Sirius’ pain in a realistic way. Excellent! Well, I’m off to read more of your fics. _
Letishia chapter 1 . 7/28/2004

Ellie chapter 1 . 7/28/2004
I'm flattered...Lovely story, dear. And only mild bits of slash.

And thank you so much for converting me, I'm beginning to see the rewards of an R/S-loving lifestyle.

mum-to-you chapter 1 . 7/28/2004
Just so you know, you really do write some of the best R/S slash going, dear. It's not the lush prose you've decided puts your own writing to shame, but a sparse, lean prose that powerfully sketches in the characters with apt dialog and small, meaningful gestures. Never underestimate or undervalue that style of writing. Hemingway didn't. Love, Mum
