I can't believe that the closure I needed and have been looking for, was written more than a decade ago. This felt so nostalgic and mature. To think that NaruSaku didn't end up together makes this fic more like that unattainable golden dream, that what-should-have-been. If I had read this back when Naruto was far from being over, I would've pictured this as their future. It's comforting to know that in this story, Naruto held on to his feelings, and that Sakura gave him a chance. Man, this was deep and so well-written. My younger self would've loved this just as much. Arigatō x

I enjoyed this chapter. It seems Sakura is too afraid to consider what her feelings might actually mean because she fears the consequences as she has already lost so much. Understandable, but no less tragic.
