What a gem of a story this is! I love your charitarization of Aragorn. Your storytelling is brilliant. lines like ; 'what a fine sword you have', you should see my other one' ect. were brilliant.

This story is so wonderfully written and had me enraptured by your vision. I realize that you may never write for this again so I want to say thank you very much for such a wonderful experience. I would however, very much like to see this finish if you ever would.

This is such a fabulous story. It seems like it's easy to reduce Aragorn to a fairy tale hero, simply because he's so awesome. But I love stories that include his battles with his own insecurities and weaknesses. It makes him so much more like the person that Tolkien wrote, if you look into his background. Thank you for writing this, even if you're no longer checking reviews to read this.

Oh, it is too bad this story hasn't been updated in years. I am a huge fan of the Thorongil years, but there is only sketchy fan fiction attached to them. If you ever become inspired to finish I'd love to read more.

I know that Aragorn does indeed leave Rivendell after Elrond says he cannot marry Arwen until he has proven himself. However:

What written works have you taken this tale from? Or is his childish running-away actually part of a personal headcanon? (I am not criticising the way you have described it - in fact, I rather enjoy it - I just want to know if I missed a big part of Aragorn's behaviour in the Tolkienverse).

I have been reading this, with a great deal of interest. However, I keep sitting back to ponder anxiously where this tale fits in. I know the basic gist of how Aragorn left Imladris and went to the world, but was unsure exactly *how* this happened. In that case, I can understand that you have taken the skeletal facts and fleshed it out (which is cool), but I am curious.
