mike chapter 3 . 8/3/2009 good story... i like xander as faith watcher... buffy is a person who makes some big mistake but tries...one of the think i did not like about buffy was no body but buffy had power in the will to use it... angel did what ever buffy wanted.. willow was weak till season 6 giles was not man enough to stand up to buffy when she made a mistake... and tera was so sweet but some time you can be nice all the time and not take side... xander was the only one that stood up to buffy when angel was evil, when she hid angel, when faith was bad, about adam he all was stood up to her and he was right most of the time... you need people to tell you when you are wrong,, i wish they would have made xander more power full what would have happen if he was as strong as buffy... i would like to see a sence with faith and wes faith say how sorry she is would be cool.. ps buffy never under stood she is justa girl stonger then most but just a girl the the boss not the leader just a girl |
PSwayer29 chapter 3 . 7/20/2004 I like this story I'll be looking for the monthly update. I also read a bet I & II i like this story line and I hope to see you continue it. |
davide chapter 3 . 7/16/2004 good,really good. |
Kalystia chapter 3 . 6/30/2004 awesome story! I'm really enjoying this, please continue. :) |
eddy29456 chapter 3 . 6/26/2004 This is good, but confusing. As I understand it, Faith wants Xander as a Watcher because she is confident that, if she goes off the path of good and puppies, Xander will do the needed. Okay. Xander doesn't believe he can if required. Okay. Xander come upon a dead Robin, an enraged Faith trying to kill Spike, and tries to stop her. This requires further clarification. Why would he second guess Faith here? |
eckles chapter 3 . 6/24/2004 A totally cool serial, Koos. Can't wait to read more :-) |
Jason Barnett chapter 3 . 6/24/2004 I liked this chapter better than the last. First off my responses to what you said. No Law? The Slayer acts as a police officer, enforcing humanities laws and values on demons who would like to wipe them out, makes life and death decisions regularly. In my opinion the Slayer acts as both a police officer and soldier. What would've happened if they hadn't kicked her out? I don't know. But it wouldn't have involved them nearly getting blown up because they trusted a Bringer. As for Faith and prison, well what do you do with a superhuman murderer? If she's not willingly going to prison, how do you keep her from killing other people. I've made that point to several people and I always get a response like what you said. THe point is if Buffy allows Faith to go free anyone Faith kills is on Buffy's conscience. We've seen Buffy snap before, I think the quiet catatonia, or near catatonic state is more true to her. TIn this chapter I think ANgel could've used the Orpheus dream to illustrate his point. Remember when she watched him drain the dead clerk at the doughnut shop? THat was the last straw for him that put him in alleys eating rats. He could say Xander is at that point. Where one more thing going wrong will make him snap. I have a suggestion for an ep. Buffy breaks out and heads for LA. She's pissed about people betraying her and lying to her, but that's not all she's feeling. When she takes down AI et al after hearing about an upcoming apocalypse Xander and everyone else is worried the big bad that's setting it up has her possessed. Instead she's just decided no one else is going to die, and she'll beat a person till they're just about dead to keep them away from her doing her job. |
Darklight chapter 3 . 6/24/2004 Looking forward to see where you'll go with the fic. Get an independant Slayer to hit LA and not want anything to do with other slayers or watchers or the calling. Not sure about it, but how where the potentials called, where they all activated without any say in it or asked to accept the power? Otherwise you could have some of the called slayers wanting revenge for their lives being destroyed. What the shadowmen did to create the slayers, was repeated to some degree by Willow on all the potentials out there, Willow and Xander created the reason for the first to be able to do what he did. Great Faith is free again, not a big fan of Robin, never understood why Faith went for him. Get some more Harmony in your fic, Angel making her his connection to Faith and Xander and they have to obey her orders for the help they want in getting Buffy out. Harmony bossing Xander around and getting on his nerve like is fun. Keep the chapters coming |
Darrin chapter 3 . 6/24/2004 I think the way you are handling the main characters is very good. Xander's pain and anger and need to help is shown well. Like how you show Faiths need for someone to be there. Still hope this will not go the Spuffy route. Keep up the great work. |
adamuk chapter 3 . 6/24/2004 i think xander should breakaway from the watchers and dont ship imean dont turn this x/f ship cos i finf it alot more intresting that xander isnt with anyone and also will this follow the angel cannon cos i like the idea of xander helping angel and illria take on xander |
RobC chapter 3 . 6/24/2004 Interesting, but I wonder who took Robin out. Rob |
Gijsbrecht chapter 3 . 6/24/2004 I've just read the complete epsisode and I can honestly say that I like it a lot. You've set up a cool story and it has every potential to grow into something big and entertaining. What I find particularly interesting is how you seem to make Buffy the most important reason for Xander to fight the good fight. His mission as you call it. Or, I don't know if I understood it correctly, is she even more according to you. Is Buffy perhaps his raison d'ĂȘtre, his reason to exist? Or is she 'just' a representation of all the people for whom he is sacrificing a normal life. By normal I mean a life without vampires and other demons. The story thus far has raised some questions like who has killed Wood and why ( I never liked Wood in the show by the way. A very inconsistant character). And of course how they can get Buffy out of the institution. You already indicated in what direction you are thinking by Xander's request towards Angel to 'make' him her brother. Which is a nice touch when you take into acount the dream sequence in the 'Restless' episode where Buffy is calling him (big?) brother. Anyway, plenty of stuff to work with. One (very) minor thing I personally thought as being a little 'off' was the scene where Xander was crying against Angel's chest. It's not the fact that he is crying but more that he is seeking support with Angel for that. Xander always strikes me as a person who does this in private or in the presence of a person he loves. But certainly not while seeking physical contact with Angel. I guess you let it play it out like that because of the deep connection they both share regarding Buffy. Again, this is very minor and it has probably more to do with my perception of the character than it is canon or not. It's the image of the two I kind of found a little out of character, that's all. Finally I just hope that you will keep on writing the high standard stories we are used to get from you. I am certainly not going to tell you in what direction the story should go. Surprise us like you always do. I only hope to see some good Xander-Faith bonding and perhaps even more than that. Robert |
eddy29456 chapter 2 . 6/24/2004 Xander ignored his threatening tone as he stepped closer and looked him straight in the eye. "I don't give a damn. She does her work as a Slayer and she listens to me." "And if she doesn't?" Angel countered in worry. "Then I'll have to stop her." Angel blinked at him in astonishment. The seriousness in his tone scared him. This was not the Xander he remembered. The caring, sweet goofy guy he had learned to appreciate and tolerate. This was the Xander that Angelus had faced and himself in his own lair. Hard and cold. But those were exceptions as the young boy had been faced with extreme cases. Now it was . . . standard. Now it was an innocent Slayer instead of some asshole of a vampire. He couldn't think of any reply, but Xander continued. "We can't tolerate disobedience. Faith's a role model to younger Slayers. She's second in the Slayer command structure and with Buffy now gone she's first." He paused. "We can't have a second Buffy." Umm . . . Faith as innocent? I find myself agreeing with Angel, though. I don't see the Xander that wanted to try to work things out with Anyanka after she went back to vengeance here. Something has made for a severe change. Did I miss the explaination or is it upcoming? |
Lochar chapter 3 . 6/24/2004 Very good. Spike owes Xander his unlife, so he should help a bit more, even though this is all for Buffy. I'd love to see Buffy out of the institution and as Xander's sister. Maybe they could deactivate her Slayer powers if she wanted to live a normal life? |
Jason Barnett chapter 2 . 6/23/2004 Okay, the Buffy mental institution thing, what's goign on? Because you set it up with it being not true and then suddenly you act like it is. Buffy falls for the obvious trap with the alternative is death. Like waiting in Buffy's house until Bringers show up and stick a bomb in it like they did to the Watchers. Or hanging around doing nothing while the Master comes up and kills those she cared about. THat wasn't stupid that was self-sacrifice. Her life for her friends. As for the house if that's possible what do you do about it. Do you propose waiting for whatever was inside to come out and start slaugtering innocent people? If it's not really a trap then there's no threat. And if it is maybe showing some support for Buffy would help. I mean I feel sorry for those Slayers. They go in knowing that most of the people who teach them believe they don't have a chance. Buffy is the law when it comes to demons. Who do you trust if not the Slayer? The PTB, who rarely do anything to help. So you'd never know what to do. The Watcher's Council? A bunch of corrupt old men who don't care about their charges and now you've turned Xander into one of them. Buffy is the one who has to live with the decisions and she's shown pretty good instincts for it so far. As for Faith, did Buffy have any reason to trust her, or any reason to believe a prison could hold her? Based on the first chapter I'd have said continue. If the quality continues to drop with each successive chapter please stop. |
