Very interesting and unique 'fic idea here. I love the subtlety of it. And it's very well-written, too, with proper grammar. And a good vocabulary. I'm amazing that this is your first LOTR fanfic - it's very in character. The banter between Merry and Pippin, the atmosphere of shared experiences with Frodo and Sam... great job. This was a good read. :)

Oh, that's wonderful. I can totally see that happeneing. Sometimes things get imbedded in your mind, and you just can't get them out. Your a really good writer, and I hope you continue in this fandom. Rock on!

Very nice. One has to feel even *more* sorry for poor Frodo, seeing him clutching for the Ring.

Just a little horsey note: people don't usually put their boot to the horse's flank-unless, of course, they *like* falling off. Really, most horses tend to go off like a shot(or freak out)if you cue them like that.

I really enjoyed this story! I'm glad Aragorn found them.

This was very interesting. Poor little Frodo and Sam didn't think to stop because they were not yet exhausted. That is just so sad. It brings home how terrible the trek to Mt. Doom truly was for Sam and Frodo. I'm glad Aragorn found them. Here's hoping that the others watch out for them better in the future.
