This was possibly the best piece of fanfiction i've ever read. it was so professonal. you really knew who all the chaaracters were and nothing seemed to happen that was random. it all came back around. there wasn't a dull moment of this. I just spent hours at a time glued to my cell phone or computer screen to read this. sooo good. thank you so much for writting this!

maybe juvy did something good for johnny? here's hoping. he probably really needed some more counseling. is it off his record i wonder since he was a juvenile? i blame dean. he should have had a better closing argument than none at all lol.

"should have said, what are you supposed to do, when your best friend is getting drowned by a gang of 5 boys? ponyboy would have died if johnny had not saved his life. bob sheldon was a bully. a spoiled boy who got his kicks beating the hell out of younger kids. what choice did johnny have? kill or be killed? attack or have your best friend killed. tulsa needs a message: stop the violence. but while kids like bob go around beating kids like johnny half to death, the kids don't have a choice to defend themselves. if bob would have been locked up for assault a long time ago, this wouldn't have happened. tell me what johnny is guilty of. every witness has told you the same thing: bob and his gang of friends hunted ponyboy and johnny down to punish them. to kill them. ladies and gentleman of the jury, if you find johnny guilty, you are ruining a kids life b/c he acted in self-defense to save the life of his friend and him. also, why were there no appeals? okay i'm done.

i really loved your story. great plot. very engaging and emotional and interesting. great attention to detail. good character writing. good dallas showcasing. and p.s. your name is the coolest i've ever seen round these parts i reckon.

omg where are the closing arguments?

if you would have put more of johnny's lines instead of summarizing it and made the last scene longer i think i would have cried.

totally lol'ed at the beginning! long drink list and then fuck it. a martini. seriously i laughed out loud.

i could picture dean just saying, dallas flatly.

great chapter. the logic of a 14 yr. old defense. the guilt.

one more thing about the last chapter though. i would have liked to hear more about johnny's parents, and not just the whole cycle-of-abuse lines.

interesting. you're really writing for yourself and the audience, bringing in a psychologist to answer the questions everyone wants to know: why?

okay. beginning lines, if said by darry, would have been lol, but you are just making pony a total loser/jackass. sigh. i think pony would have a little more sympathy, considering in the book when johnny died and dally died, pony had a breakdown and was in bed for like a month. but pony was a boring, hokey person and dallas was king to me, so i understand the sentiments expressed therein.
