What a wonderfully cute story! And 2004 it was made? What an ancient gem to unearth! Well, on the chance you ever happen to log in again, I wanted to say this story was a joy to read though, and I really admired your ability to describe the setting! I love how you described the Star Road and the scene with smithy and all the disaster that happened in those couple of seconds. Gosh, it must've been really tragic for Geno and his friends, and everyone else. I always wonder, what happened to Geno's family and friends? Someone should make a story about them and what happened before and after the tragedy and when Geno came back home or something along those lines. I could do that but I don't have a fan-fiction account and I 'm horrible making stories, plus I'm too lazy to do it... :D

Sorry about my rambling, anyway, the part when Peach kissed Geno on the cheek is very cute. I want to see Mario's reaction if he was there and saw that. XD

I had an idea similar to this in my head, but nothing of this calibur. I'm glad I found it!

I simply love the way you've made a simple character like Geno so complex; then again, I love anyone who can do that. I've just recently looked at Geno and realizing his situation has led me to look at him in a completely new light. I myself am gathering ideas for a fic centered around him as well, cuase he simply needs more love, and that's all there is to it.

Everything in this story impresses me: the accuracy to SMRPG, the detail, Geno's background story... it's all beautiful. And the kiss at the end is simply precious.

There are grammer errors, obviously, but no one is perfect. I suggest finding a BETA reader whom you can send your stuff to and will edit all the grammer errors and make the final document "camera-ready," so to speak. I'm only suggesting this because I think you're a terrific author who deserves endless praise for bringing light to an obsceure title.

Finally I found this story again; I read this before and my computer crashed before I could review, my computer has a really bad habit with crashing.

I remember playing this game, Geno was always a character that stood out in my mind along with Mellow. I really hope one day the characters from this game would appear in another Mario game. This game holds alot of fond memeories as do all my games. I remember when we bought the game, my father pointed out the big boo on the back, one of Bowsers attacks, to my sister, my sister was a huge Boo fan of the Mario fandom at that age, she though their faces were funny.

Izumo here. Even though I've never actually PLAYED SMRPG, I've looked up a few things about it, and it sounds very interesting. (Unfortunately, I don't have a SNES, so I can't. ;'() But from what I've looked up about the characters, Geno's my favorite.

When I saw this fic on IcyBrian's page (found through Google image search for SMRPG-related images), I was, like, "Woah. The detail. And the words used to describe them. And the interaction and relationship with Peach and Geno throughout the story are, like, AWESOME!"

So I went here to to search for other fics involving Geno, and here I found this! (:D Celebrate with glee!) So I decided to read it again, to reintroduce myself to what has to be one of my favorite fanfics of all time! o

I can't tell you how good it was to read a decent Mario fic. I loved the old vintage Mario games, as well as some of the newer ones, but my favorite has always been SMRPG. It was my first RPG and I wish it would get rereleased on a platform I use more often.

Your fic has a lot more depth than most of the other Mario fan fiction. I'll be totally frank and say that this fandom really needs some good fics to balance out the major crap that fills it. Thankfully there are some good jewels to find amongst the rabble.

This is an awesome story. I'm glad there are a few stories on that involve Super Mario RPG. _ And I must say, this is one of the best and well written ones too! Keep up the good work.

I admit I haven't played through all of SMRPG yet, and really should get back to it without getting too frustrated. Anyway, I really adored this! Geno always was inexplainably awesome, and even though I'm not a fan of Peach, I loved this story. And Gaz is great too, even though he's only mentioned once XD
