I love Soujirou, that crack pot boy. Such a wise ass. Always so sarcastic and a bit insane.

I find it an immense shame that such wonderful peice work has been abandoned for more than two years. not that i don't understand... there's not enough time to work on it, life is tough and busy, and interest is eventually lost. it happens to me quite often :]

but gahh this is absolutely wonderful and your portrayal of all the characters (especially Soujiro) makes for an always interesting read.

but, oh well.

Great story. I love your characterization of Soujirou, it's so realistic. I just find it really sad that he hasn't found peace after ten years of wandering, but it does make for a good story. Kenshin isn't the 'superman' he was in the series, but that also is realsitic, even though we fans don't want to think about it. I just hope Kenshin doesn't die in this story like he did in the OVA. Please update soon, I can't wait to read more about Soujirou! This is one of the best Soujirou-centric RK fics I have ever read.

Gah, this is well on it's way to becoming my favorite RK fanfic ever. The characters are interesting, sypathetic, and perfectly in character. The plot is engaging and exciting. Plus... Hiko's my favorite character. A story with a well written Hiko is a wonderful treat.

This is a good story. Looks like Yahiko and Soujiro are in need of answers. Hopefully, both will find what they are looking for.

An excellent beginning, in my opinion. The descriptions create beautiful, vivid mental pictures, and your characterizations are great. Nobody has felt flat yet, and your take on Soujiro is inspired. There’s a very pleasing element of unpredictability and uncertainty to him in this story. On the one hand, he seems to be the antagonist, disrupting the peaceful status quo and threatening to resurrect doubts and shadows of the past. On the other, though, he still comes across as the youth who simply wants to know the truth and find an answer to his question. To a lesser extent, Yahiko and Kaoru also appear to be tinged by the compelling motive of unanswered questions, which makes the story particularly compelling, I believe. It seems a foregone conclusion that change is now inevitable, but for better or for worse and whether anybody will find the answers they seek are two things I’m especially looking forward to learning as this story progresses. Great job so far, and please keep up the terrific work.

awesome. simply awesome. I enjoy eh characterizations and that Yahiko is still the rash blustering person he always was. Good heart though, and without challenge people do not change. Soujiro also seems very in character, though I wonder how after 10 years his personality and personal beliefs have changed. keep up the great work!
