Beautiful little story, more poetry than prose. It describes her feelings so fully that you ache for her, and still without giving you a clue why she really left.

I came through here to check out your Firefly stuff. So I read the other one, then this one... and although the situations and details are different, they are pretty much the same thing. I like the other one better because it is short, sweet, and to the point.

This is a new take on the Inara-leaves-after-Heart-of-Gold fic. I loved that to Inara, darkness, Serenity, meant happiness; and sunshine, brightness, meant pain. Just beautiful. Thanks for a shiny ficlet!

That was beautiful. It's sad to think that Inara left. It would be wonderful if she changed her mind. Please write again soon, you captured her character very well.

Very interesting Inara piece, very melancholy. It seemed overly disjointed at first, more like one would expect from a piece on River, but when I re-read it, it felt much more natural. :-)
