That last line was so strong too and its nice to have someone acknowledge that in the original trilogy she doesnt die until later! I want a story of that time so badly from Padme's perspective! I've always been bothered by the fact that Leia had memories of her mother but that movie gives absolutely no reason for us to think Leia knew her longer than two minutes. Your story, where Padme lives out the last few years of her life as a nursemaid, is wonderful! And that Vader finally hunted her down is so tragic and beautiful. I also love the ending similarity that proves to Leia that she is also her father's daughter, as much as she doesn't want to be. Excellent job! |
