I can't remember if I've reviewed this before, but just reread it so . . :) Beautifully written! I'm not a Kennedy fan at all, but I think your characterization of Pellew and Hornblower were spot on for movieverse, and it was just the right level of angst-I think because you kept it from HH's perspective.

I can't explain it, but for some reason these two characters, and their lives, and beloved Archie's death, upset me more than anything else on ff.

Though, in a good way, almost.

Oh this was just exquisite! Heartbreaking but with a wistful sort of hope at the end to it. I always thought the relationship between Horatio and Archie was this beautiful thing and you've captured it beautifully along with Horatio's agony over losing it. Bravo.
