Shadowsingercat chapter 17 . 5/11 I can't hold it in any longer. I'm literally crying from how good this is. there are no words to describe how amazing this is! |
Taggg chapter 17 . 2/27/2016 Aw, I liked the story a lot! James and Lily are adorable! (ugh, when i wrote it like that, they reminded me of potters. better not!) I would have liked more interaction with the Turners... Jack, as I understand, is in far and uncertain future)) And I think I ship Mary Kate more with Gillette. He is a fun character here :3 |
ebonypol chapter 18 . 1/8/2014 Loved it! Can't wait for more :D (if you make a sequal xD) thanks for the great read. |
Smithy chapter 1 . 5/2/2013 This is a side to Norrington I have enjoyed, that of a doting single father. And he is allergic to cats, interesting. The mud fight was a hoot, and the way Jacob reacted to it, I could almost hear the aghastness {is that even a word} in his voice when he caught James tracking mud into his pristine kitchen, and as much as I adore Will {I do, I really do}, he acted impetuously, not realizing the situation behind Lily's screaming. Very good read. |
Guest chapter 18 . 6/11/2011 Thanks for writing this. Your story is cute. |
Study in Silence chapter 17 . 2/6/2011 Mister Wiggles! I can just imagine dignified Commodore Norrington calling out that name at the top of his lungs. But really, I like it-I have an acquaintance with a horse named Mr. Wrinkles. When I first heard it, I thought it was a terrible name, but it grows on you like you wouldn't believe. Lily is absolutely charming, and no more so than seeing the paternal instincts coming out in Norrington. A fine man, indeed. This was well written, the characters quite alive. Thank you for the excellent read. |
mamasgirl14 chapter 18 . 7/30/2010 This was an awesome story! I read this story a year ago and I can say that it was just as good if not better the second time around. The way you wrote James was amazing. I could clearly see the story in my head as I read this. I noticed that you have not posted your sequal. I hope you can post that as that would bring joy to my heart to see what happens with James and Lily. Also a pairing I would love to see is James and Mary Kate. |
TheMusicofMySoul chapter 18 . 7/4/2010 This was an impossibly adorable story. Seeing the mighty James Norringon's human, caring side was enlighting in a way. I could completely see him taking in such an abused child and adopting her as his own. You are such a talented writer and captured the characters so perfectly. I loved Lily with a passion. I wanted to adopt her so badly. You completely captivated me with this story. I need to go through your others and read them now. |
Moony chapter 18 . 1/11/2008 I love this story. For once the fic doesn't revolve around some annoying Mary Sue who would immediately make James fall in love with her. This is about his relationship with a child and I totally love it. I especially like all the interaction between Lily and James. The chruch chapter must have been the most powerfull one yet. You truly gave me a gut wrenching (or how is that spelled) emotion when I read about her fears. I really like it that you concentrate on to this amazing relationship between Lily and James and didn't make him immediately fall in love with someone to give Lily a mother figure. That would have been a little cliched and I don't believe he's ready to love another woman immediately after Elizabeth rejected him. It's much more believable to make things happen slowly. |
Sachita chapter 18 . 7/15/2007 I really love your work, Gaeruil! I think I have read all of your stories now, and they were all really, really excellent! Keep up the good work! Lily is such a sweet girl- and I wonder, will you do a sequel still? ~Sachita (-;~ |
Mary Koncos chapter 18 . 6/30/2007 I just wish to say that I throughly enjoyed this story. Thank you for sharing your talent. I can hardly wait to know what happens next! |
rae1112 chapter 18 . 6/28/2007 This, I believe, is the longest story I have been able to read on without gagging. It's amazing! And, I usually hate OC's, but I believe I'll make an exception for Lily. And all your other OC's just seem like they would belong in Port Royal. |
Cookiekitten chapter 18 . 6/1/2007 Aww, I loved this story! I haven't read anything so cute in a long time! |
The Grey-Eyed Goddess chapter 18 . 5/22/2007 I loved this story! It's hard to find good Norrington stories out there. You've done a great job with the rest of the characters in this story - you're one of the few authors on this site who actually gives depth to their own characters. I know this story is a few years old, but I really hope that you still write the rest of the story. |
IVIaedhros chapter 2 . 4/21/2007 Absolutely love it...Les Miserables is one of my favorite books of all time and this mirrors it in some ways. My only gripe is that I believe you portrayed Norrington and the crew as too...perhaps soft and "unsailorly". This also leaves out the fact that Norrington would be in major trouble after the fiasco in Curse of the Black Pearl. I would also imagine he's a little er, sore, about losing Elizabeth. But that's just nit-picking. Once again, I loved it. |
