Don't worry, people can take your "creative description" as you put it. I personally thought haldir's death was beautiful (sorry!). And the last part about the scarlet ibis was a nice touch. Jailani would be so proud of you!

I will say this right now, I do not like slash. And your thinking, then why in the world did you read this story! Well, I'd also like to say that I believe that a story can be well-written and be slash, though I am not fond of that.
So this is not a flame and I do hope I have not offended you.
I simply loved the way you ended it "scarlet ibis" was from a short story I read and it struck me so very poignantly. I do not understand how "physical contact" can help heal Aragorn of his grief but that is my ignorance.
Congratulations on a well-writeen story. Why don't you try a non-slash? I would love to read that.

luv tales with an edge. the slight twist in relationships adds to the overall effect. keep it up!
