I was really sad when it seemed this fic was abandoned, and it was quite a pleasant surprise to find out that it wasn't! I understand your point about actually finishing the story before publishing it bit by bit. I just wish it didn't take you so long to post the next chapters.

oh wow - you have no idea how thrilled I was to see 4 new chapters to this! When I saw the notice in my inbox, I honestly had no idea what it was about, but as soon as I started into chapter 10 I remembered and was utterly delighted!

But poor Faramir! He is going to have a very, very long recovery ahead of him! And it's even more terrible because he won't remember his father's care and concern once he's on the mend and Denethor reverts back to true form.

I just hope he gets his memories back enough to silence those plaguing dreams that make him believe he is a coward!

I had to re-read everything because I started reading this at its inception some 9 years ago. How happy I am that it has been updated. You have an excellent little story developed here and a remarkable grasp of the characters!

I've been away from this fandom for many years and was surprised and delighted to find your story had not been abandoned. The last chapter I read was boromir finally arriving. What a treat to have new chapters to read.

Faramir having visions is so intriguing. How many fabulous tales one could weave from that concept. Just like your fabulous tale. I really like that faramir's men take it seriously. Dialog and interactions between denethor, boromir and faramir are exactly how I envision. Boromir's strength of his in convictions ever so slightly weakened by his father's influence. A hint of what's to come when traveling with a certain hobbit and ring.

Well done! Can't wait to read more.

I just read this all in one sitting, and I have to say I'm loving it! Your writing style flows well, which makes it an enjoyable read.

I love how it's movie verse, but you're definitely sticking to the book canon. Nice job with that! The visions that Faramir continues to have is a nice touch, and I also really like the one that you threw in for Boromir as well since I thought it really brought across the connection they have to each other.

On that note, I love how you characterize Boromir and Faramir, as well as other canon characters. I always saw Faramir as a more intuitive guy like you have him here (and the end of this chapter where he's just concerned for Gondor was also very touching), and of course, Boromir has his pride and determination to do what's best for Gondor. But deep down, he has that love for Faramir, and I thought you really brought that acrossl. Very well done! And I have to say, you've actually made me like Denethor to some extent, so I give you massive credit for that, lol! He's never been one of my favorite characters, yet he interests me, and I really like how you portray him here. Yes, he still shows favoritism to Boromir and is ready to reprimand Faramir for any little slip up, but I love the little moments you throw in with him and the palantír and where he actually takes Faramir's words to heart. How he sends the guard as well as sends for Imrahil to aid in Faramir's plan was a great touch, and I think what made me start to like him. As well as in the last chapter when he has Boromir ride back to Minas Tirith with Faramir, though he may have his own reasons for it.

And your OCs are also very believable, and I like seeing how they continue to play a part in the developing storyline.

I hope you update this soon! And possibly even write more stories with these two brothers down the road. You're doing a great job!

Great chapter :) good to hear you're still working on completing the tale. I just came back to mine after about 8 years :S I'd tried so many times in the meanwhile but life does get in the way. It's a great feeling finishing it off though :)
