Oh well done, well done. I'm impressed. Enough realism and pain to get across the true horros of war, and a happy ending to tie everything together, I love it.
I would have liked to see more of the soldier and his time, but even without it this is rather strong and well presented. The format could stand to be slightly re-worked, perhaps it would make it easier to read, but overall I really like this.
You did a good job. Keep up the great work, I can't wait to have the chance to read more of your things.
