lapaxlove chapter 1 . 8/22/2013 Awww, beautiful & so sad...! Loved it too |
Moshi Moshi Mai chapter 1 . 3/21/2006 Aw, that made me feel so heavy-hearted. V_V I never finished playing this game, but I think I understand what's going on. Tifa is an old lady 50 years after they defeated Sephiroth, Cloud died a while ago, and she met Vincent on the train and was talking to herself and then she saw Vincent again, who hadn't aged a day since he's immortal(?). That's depressing. ~heaves a sigh~ Poor Vincent! Great story you have here, though! Moshi Moshi Mai |
Yaoi Auron X Seymour chapter 1 . 7/5/2005 Aw now thats so sweet. I love it. |
The Tiramisu Of Impending Doom chapter 1 . 6/8/2005 Ah, I love the two voices... ::heavy sigh:: I missed this. How did I miss this? What a dingus I am. This is lovely... Made me think of a certain diamond ring commercial... Ah well... A sweet story! |
Silver Pard chapter 1 . 2/28/2005 Goddammit, you get more reviews for a one-shot than me. Even when WWL? was a one-shot it didn't get this many. *whimper* God, I hate you! ... No, not really. I love your work. No point to this one, admittedly, but there's seldom a real point to anything. _~ |
Christina chapter 1 . 1/28/2005 no idea what your talking about, but it still made me cry! I really needed to talk to you today so i decided to read a bit of your writing, cause it is kinda the same thing. ~christina |
Sabriel41 chapter 1 . 12/30/2004 You've done well with "Long Trip...", hoheehum; no, more than well; I sit here with tears streaming down and that funny sort of happy sadness resting somewhere about my heart... . Someone once told me that a sign of a great writer is that they can make you *feel* through the words on the page (or computer screen)... and that's just what you've done. The dual narration works well - Vincent's seems almost poetic, a little distant, but no less poignant - which contrasts nicely with Tifa's one-sided, tired and yet hopeful dialogue. . Keep up the fantastic work, thank you for your support of my fics, and Cheers! ~Sabriel. |
ricebol chapter 1 . 12/2/2004 I don't even usually -like- Tifa very much. But this is just amazingly done. Not every piece has to have a purpose or a plot; this is a perfect, beautiful snapshot. I like the switching perspectives, and the fact that they're not really synched up in time - the delay is really effective. |
Erse chapter 1 . 10/23/2004 I was fumbling around with links, and suddenly I'm reading this wonderful little one-shot! This was so very touching and deep. Geez, and I'm in one of those moods, so I'm practically in tears now. Gah - it was so beautiful. . . (doc) |
Verdot chapter 1 . 10/2/2004 This is surprisingly interesting. I knew the woman was Tifa pretty quickly, but I didn't realize who she was talking to. Good work keep it up. |
Smurphy chapter 1 . 6/9/2004 Nice... Okay. I love your writing. |
Mucomi9 chapter 1 . 5/29/2004 Wow, I loved it, it was so cute. Your a great writer and you should never give up. I cant wait for you to finish your stories im wanting to finish reading them all. Well, good luck and bye _ |
thelittletree chapter 1 . 2/25/2004 You know, I got an 'author alert' when you posted this, but I was busy and I forgot about it until right now! Terrible, to have missed such a great V-day fic! Glad to have run across it now, tho. - This was an incredibly original kind of fic. Not romance (well, not in the conventional sense - Tifa loves Cloud an' all, o' course), but lots of feeling. Sad and heartwarming to imagine an older Tifa, alone and tired, trying to get in contact with everyone from Avalanche before she inevitably submits to death. And meeting Vincent (somehow very appropriately) by chance on a train, and finally happy to know that he, probably the one they knew the least about, is all right. - *sniffle* Lov-ed it. Write more. |
Seraphim-Angel02 chapter 1 . 2/15/2004 Ohmigosh! What a lovely story! I'll tell ya something: It's very different than most of the Valentine's fics out there. But different is good! I loved this! You wrote it perfectly; the way the lines criss-cross (I don't know how else to explain it-the words escape me.) was so...so...awesome! Wow. Just, wow. (On a side note, I think this might kick me into writing more stuffs!) TOTALLY loved it. And I like the metaphor-thing there. Very cool. This is going on my favorites list! Please write more stories like this! |
Heather Cat chapter 1 . 2/15/2004 This was very beautifully poetic. It was... very sad. Also incredibly sweet and touching. It's one of those stories that just makes your heart hurt a little, you know? I liked it a lot, and whether or not it was just an excuse to write something, you succeeded brilliantly. It was very well written, and I would definitely like to read more from you. |
