At the moment, the dissonance between the lighthearted nature of truth or dare, and Hermione being gaslighted into liking Snape, is really throwing me off. Either pull back some of the seriousness by not forcing Hermione and Draco into situations with real consequences or dial up the seriousness and make wizards truth or dare into a parasitic piece of magic that has real consequences.
...so... Draco is slytherin...Slytherins find loopholes... Pollyjuice is a fairly big loophole and so is time and visibility. Nothing says Malfoy couldn't have pollyjuiced into Potter or done it at midnight or dispirsed some peruvian instant darkness powder, or all three. I also dislike how none of the instigators are going to be punished appropriately Harry, Ron, Draco and Pansy are not getting detentions, or restrictions for participating in having students sexually assaulted. I also dislike how Hermione had to make up with Harry and Ron without them doing anything to help her, the only things I could have seen redeeming them in my eyes would have been going to the teachers to get some help for Hermione, and taking their detentions and chewing out stoically. As it stands they are parasitic and Blaize makes a better friend. The lack of contraceptive is too much for my suspension of disbelief (without further explanations) and Hermione agreeing to the game in the first place without some misunderstanding or real catalyst is pushing it.
Snape is in a precarious position with the dark lord and I really can't see Hermione not being dragged into it once the news gets back to the dark lord. The disaster could be mitigated somewhat by bringing in Dumbledore's art of the spin but there still needs to be some work done on that loose end.

Having Poppy or Minerva or Severus do some damage control before the dare could have made for some real emotional connection between the two. Also I don't see why fulfilling the dare had to be Hermione's first time, it could have been far farther in their acquaintance after she had the time to gain some courage and get to know Severus or not with Severus at all.

Like Severus this fic has nice bones but its current state of disrepair is displeasing to the eyes.

What can I say but amazing. I loved every chapter, every word. You managed to create a story that correctly weaved the characters personalities and yet still manage the desired event. Bravo, Brava.
And may I give snaps for your last sentence because apparently poor finch has been kissed due to a dare before. Definitely looking forward to anything else you may have written or will write in the future.

Lol, this story was enjoyable and highly amusing. Poor Hermione's response though. I love the poem Malfoy sent though. Well written. Good take on the damage Snape sustained from the curcitus (I think I misspelled it).

I, like at least one other reviewer, need to know, why another tear in five years?! Looking to see if I was the only one possessed by the question, I find myself questioning the capabilities of quite a few of your reviewers. The story was last updated over 10 years ago and there are notes explaining Blaise. Can they not comprehend that that which is common knowledge now was unknown then? Thank you for a beautifully human story.
