that's definitely not an ending. it needs to be finished off-you never had a real resolution.

despite that, you've got most of my favorite characters all in one story, you write well, and you've done great characterizations-well done!

Very good job. Eomer is my all time fav character from LotR, and I think it is very, very well written. I think of them as Leading Reins, not lines, but that's just me. I've heard it both ways.

I like this story a lot. Am looking forward to an update and am more than willing to see where you are taking us. I love your characterizations of Boromir, Eomer and Theodred and more than intrigued at where you are taking us with Faramir. Very nicely done how you draw out the age differences between the younger and older men.

I, as a pervy ranger of Ithilin fancier, am finding Faramir’s mood to be a bit tiresome, but I think that as long as you have a reason that will eventually be revealed, keep with it. Anyways, great job, I’m loving it, and keep updating!

I love your portrayal of the teenage Eomer and his relationships with Theodred, Boromir and Faramir.I have always been stuck by the similarities in the cousins and brothers pairs. You have brought those to life.

Hi, I just found this fic, and I absolutely love it. I am intrigued as to what is troubling Faramir, as I am intrigued by Eeomer's opinions of the complex relationships between Boromir, Faramir, and Denethor.

I'm afraid I don't know much about horse terminology, so I can't help there.

I do think Faramir is quite believable in his cross and grumpy state. Especially if he's been ill, and depending on the hinted at reasons. I'm quite prepared to put up with Faramir like this until it's explained.

Really a well written story, and I do like the pace as well as the descriptions. Please keep writing.

I am a big Faramir fan and right now, I think he is acting like he is 15 not 23. I think less Faramir Drama would be good.

I like this story very much ... it is not easy being fifteen; I remember when my own son was that age - torn between wanting to be an adult and actually just being a kid. I like your characterization of them all ... you write so well.

I think you've got a really interesting story going here so far. It doesn't surprise me a bit that Eomer likes Boromir- I always saw Boromir as being more like the Rohirrim in his attitude about war than his countrymen. To the little knowledge of horses I have, all of what you wrote about them looks good. And I like how you're characterizing everyone. Faramir does seem a bit grumpy, but I'm sure he's got a good reason and it doesn't make him seem out of character. I can also definitely see Eomer thinking of him as a bit weak... it will be interesting to see if his attitude towards him ends up changing, especially considering they'll be brothers-in-law later. ;) I'm looking forward to seeing where you go with this.

Nice to see an update to this tale. And a very good chapter! I love your show-off Eomer here. When you're that skilled with a horse, ya just can't help it sometimes. Yes, I know that feeling of exhiliration of galloping at breakneck speed. Been riding for over 30 years now.

Your Faramir is okay. He is my favorite character, well he and Pippin, in all of LOTR. I was hoping there was a reason for him to be acting out of sorts. May we get a reason soon. And your brother interaction is great as is the interaction between the cousins.

I am an American (Texan to be exact), and I have heard of both terms used here for leading the horse. Leading reins and lead line. So I'm not sure if there is much of a difference. And there is a third, a lunge line, used for exercising/training the horse (which is what Elenhin is thinking about when a horse goes in circles around a person). My horse skills come not from the classroom, but mostly from the many years of riding and ownership and listening/learning from other very skilled horse people. I have been riding since 10 yrs of age. And I have worked at training and gentling all of my own horses, 4 now. (Beana Morena, Little Bean, Sonny, & Frosty).

You are doing fine with your horses and describing them well.
