Anway, besides that one, the itty bitty annoying line, it was a beautiful story. I like how very strightforward and yet detailed everything was. Nice view for Shika.

They way you wrote this really fed my imagination. I loved seeing this play out in my head as I read each line.

The both of their actions were perfect, especially Asuma's. It really helped me to see what he might be feeling or thinking. Shikamaru falling face first into Asuma's chest was extremely adorable as well.

Please write more Asuma/Shikamaru !

Their were no words and you got BOTH personalities by the throat! CHA! 50 points for you :) Also...if you ever decide to make a shiakamru x asuma or any kankuro fic tell me because i love your writing style in this fic! :)

wow... you write a really in-character Shika _ this was awesome and I think Im now going to be painfully hooked onto this pairing *sigh* how bothersome xD

this is great. It's probably your best one. I love how it all unwinds, and (as always) you capture Shikamaru's pov very well.

One thing that Really bugged me was that Shikamaru plays Japanese chess which doesn't have Queens or pawns ( it looks more like checkers) so while it was anice touch to the story that Asuma always moved the same piece, having it western chess threw me off every time it was mentioned.

But now I'm rambling about a minor detail. I LOVE the kiss scene. It is so full of emotion!

Now I'm almost done with the shika/asu stories. No! I guess I'll have to write some myself, but I really hope that you write somemore too!

at first... i gasped, no, not a pairing between Asuma and Shikamaru! XC but then, I thought about how you wrote about KakaIRu,so why the hell not give it a try?

I waspleasantly surprised. The way you wrote just mirrors Shika's bored thoughts, and even at his 'confusion' with his 'tiresome' feeling for his sensei.
