I thought I had reviewed this before but I just came to here to say how much I love this fic. If Fanfiction Net shut down and gave me the option to save one fic onto my hard drive, this would be the one. Out of the countless beautiful stories I've read over the years, I just can't get over this. It's sublime. I want to beg you to write more, but you seem to have gotten busy - I just want to beg you to keep this account alive so we can continue to read it! Muscles are heavy. "Runing light" would be difficult with strong muscles. I thought that elves fighted with magic instead of muscles. :-) But never mind. It is a good male-male story, unlike some others that one can easily replaces the two roles with a man and a woman.

I'm not sure whether I should consider the pair of them adorable or stupid. I think adorable. Adorkable?
You've breathed so much more life into these characters than Tolkien ever did, so thank you for writing. And I don't understand why this doesn't have at least a thousand more reviews.

You know, I can't decide whether to like Aredhel or not. She is brave, if to the point of apparent foolishness.

I've read it like 5 times and I don't think I'll ever get tired of it, the way you portray subtle emotions is just amazing, though I do hope descriptions are less limited to charaters...I'd like to see some good scenery description, for example. I just love this story to pieces. Some small details, even the humorous ones, can give me maddening heartaches...

I am not sure if you realize, but in this fanon Tolkienverse of yours you can totaly blame Glorfindel for those songs in Rivendell:

1) We know songs like that were sung in Gondolin.

2) Glorfindel listened to them in Gondolin and later came to live in Rivendell.

3) Glorfindel sometimes drinks

4) the young(er) elves would have LOVED to hear the drinking songs of old and would have pestered him to sing.

So, a slightly intoxicated Glorfindel sings

O! tril-lil-lil-lolly to the elves of Rivendell and they immediately think it is SO awful it is in fact AWESOME and go on to make thousands joke-songs in that vein. In fact, they COMPETE at who can make them up faster and make them stranger. It's an in-joke of sort.

Glorfindel is very sorry, of course. :D

i found this story on where it is incomplete. do rectify that, please. many readers don't respect enough to go trawling in search of good stories.

Well, if you insist on criticism: "Himland" in ch. 3 should be "Himlad." That's it.

I'm yet another person who loves this story to pieces, but so far I don't have much to add. I don't think I'll ever get tired of it . . .

I like how real you portrayed the emotions. Its realistic, fits into the world better then some of the other stories I've read, is well-written and it still makes me think about how cute a couple they are! _ Wonderful story!

Oh how I adore this. It's so subtle. All that suppressed desire and misunderstanding.

And yet it's humerous at the same time - "the Duelling swords of Glorfindel and Ecthelion" indeed!
