Are we ever going to get more? The captain's so despicable, I want to see more of him and the soldiers. Hehe.

Yeah, cool stuff. The relationship between Ayden and Rahab is very interesting, give us more of that. The humans are cool too, but the vamps are better. So yeah. Write more!

Hey, this is really cool. I'm enjoying this one. Always tough to get the difficulty level right on an infiltration, but I think you managed very well.

I liked the bit with Rahab and Zephon, too. High level vampire politics, yay! And your Zephon is likeable, without being *actually* friendly. You go!

This is turning out to be a well-rounded story. Wow, the soldiers don't even carry medical supplies? Or is denying her a simple wad of guaze yet another point for his stupidity?

When you first posted this story, I attempted to read it, but for some reason, the bottom half of the first chapter didn't load on the page, and no matter what I did, I couldn't get it to load.
But then Deedee convinced me to read this story (after seeing her depiction of Ayden in an apron). I had forgotten that I had started to read this until I reread the first few paragraphs in Ch.1. Luckily though, all of the chapter had appeared this time and I am very glad it did because this is such a great story so far.
I am really enjoying the plot development. You have so many twists and turns in your story. It keeps the story very interesting and keeps the readers on their toes.
All your characters have such depth to them. Each character has good qualities as well as their own flaws, making them more believable as characters.
I'm really looking forward to the continuation of this story. I really wish I had (and was able) to read this sooner!

You already know how much I loved this chapter, but just to reiterate ...
Your depiction of Lucius made me want to throttle my monitor, while Talia is again proving herself to be a feisty and likeable character (specially in that blinder of a scene with Lucius). :D *bounces for joy*
Black ending though, I can't help but feel their doom approaching - Talia'a wandering round with blood on her sleeve, the men are demoralised and have no faith in their leader, and as for his complete negligence of their standard rituals ... boy I hope that prat gets what's coming to him!
Oh, and I loved your little role play with Ayden too *giggles insanely* YOu let them out of the story, you madwoman! Now they'll never leave you be - before you know it, you'll have Buller raiding your drinks cabinet, Lucius rifling through your purse and Rahab setting up a lair in your bathroom!
Course, it was worth it just for the image of Ayden with a frilly apron and a feather duster *glances at drawing pad* Tell him if he doesn't behave, he's going up for all to see in said outfit - complete with mobcap!

This chappie was fantastic - I love the way you make the characters so real with seemingly so little effort - and so few words! Love Buller - even if he is only in it briefly (?) already hate Jay - there's nothing worse than a party-pooper! And speaking of parties, this sounds like it was leading into a hell of a good night :D

You are tying the two stories up beautifully.
The crowning moment for me being the revelation of how this sentence was born (from Dark Awakening Chapter 1) 'A spiral of paranoia and terror was set in motion that tore the very heart out of Nosgoth society, extending eventually, back into the Sarafan leadership itself.'
I think I don't like Lucius...I pity his situation but he just seems nasty, father like son I don't like Agrippa either.
I do like Ayden though, he has great strength to his character and I look forward to seeing how he develops.

THIS is the plot development chapter? Well, it is, to be sure, but there's so much that's exciting in here, I couldn't stop reading!
I am so into Ayden's character - after his fall from grace, it's the little things that mean so much: the gifts from his Sire (it was the description of the sword that made me cry - I'm really daft about weaponry, in case you hadn't noticed), the accolades from Kain, and then that final scene that leaves us wondering.
Berrin's description of Dumah's reaction to him was great too, as was his interaction with Ayden. Wonderful plot and character development as always - I'll be sitting here waiting for the update!

Whoa! Cool chapter.
Gotta admit Ayden is my favourite character.
Sarafan Lord sounds like a b*, seems like there could be some good chapters coming up.
