Dude. It's been over ten years. Maybe give the authors a break and let it go? I'm sure they've moved on with their lives and wouldn't like to be dragged back to stuff they wrote to make college bearable.

We loved it while it lasted, and most of the stories are finished, so can't we just love on those and let this go?

Well, I hope no one over at the Yahoo group for the UU minds that I'm sharing this info, but it seemed right to spread the word…

Anyway, to anyone who reads this: I have heard from the authors that this story is, unfortunately, not going to be continued. (DESPITE what they *promised* … no pun intended). There were some pretty dark things in store for our beloved Marauders, though. James becomes a Death Eater. Remus dies… somehow. Sirius escapes, but it's too late to do much good at this point in the war. Am I missing anything? Oh yeah, and Voldemort basically takes over all of Britain. Fun, huh? So maybe it's better that we aren't given all this hopeless stuff – it would be like the darkest times of Promises Defended with no light at the end of the tunnel. *sigh*

No matter its status, this story is still one of the best to be found in the UU 'verse. I truly admire the talent of the authors, whether their products are wholly finished or not. Kudos to you all!

I hope this story will continue some day. I am aware that it's been years since the last update, but i've read everything in the Promises series and I'd love to see this one finished. It's written brilliantly and I love these stories.

I so love you all for writing this! It's so deliciously and brutally brilliant. Poor James and Sirius. I can't wait to see where you take this next (hopefully, there will be a next.) I'll be following and praying for an update.

i dont know if this was supposed to be the end, but i wish that the story had a more finished ending.

so i spend all day reading this instead of doing my assignment which is due in four days, even though it hasn't been updated since 2005.

maybe *fingers crossed* if i manage to get it done a chapter would be uploaded for my hard efforts haha.

anyway, regardless of whether it gets finished or not.. incredible story and i suppose unfinished we can all just create our own endings (in which miraculously they escape and voldemort suffers horrendously for all he has caused:)

Oh, god. Well, it doesn't even matter, because despite the horrible sick feeling in my stomach right now from all the "Let's torture Sirius!" I am putting this story on story alert. Because I can't bear to not know how it might end. (Or even if it does end.)

Well, its a very awesome story. It really inspires sympathy for the characters. Great writing, ideas, plot, gruesome descriptions...

Hopefully we'll get to see another chapter soon! I love it!

Love your stories 3 :) Hope you continue this. The whole torturing Sirius thing is getting a little to drawn out I think. Something has to change soon.
