This was a beautiful little ficlet. I was truly on the verge of crying. Even though I am cynical about the Snape/Lily/James triangle, it is still quite touching. Congratulations.

You were right. It is very corny, and the poem is very beautiful. It's so sweet, though, what Snape says about Lily. The only time I could ever feel bad for Snape is when he's all heartbroken.

Lovely...I've read so many little vignettes where Snape waxes poetic about his feelings for Lily that they're all starting to blur together in my mind, but this one really stands out. Probably the best one I've ever read, tying with the one by Sphinx. And I'm suddenly inspired to pick up a copy of Yeats poetry. Oooh, look at me, I'm getting literary...
