I still find it necessary to read this story every time I finish reading Gate of Darkness, Circle of Light, and I still find it necessary to comment on just how much I love this story and how brilliant it is. Because it is. The ebb and flow of it, the moments of pain (when Evan is being a prat and Roland's calling himself an idiot) and the moments of joy, and best of all the last line, which remains one of my favorite endings of all time. I think that for as long as I reread the book, I will reread this story and leave you a review praising it. I hope you don't mind.

now that I've said all this mindless praise (mindless, but ever so important!) i may get to the actual praising... this story is very, very well written. the structure is superb, and unlike the book Evan and Roland get together. _~ there are places to improve, but isn't that how it always is?

keep writting (no matter what fandom its in) and check in every once in awhile; i'm thinking of an Evan/Roland piece, i just need to figure out if it's a one shot or a multi-chapter. have fun!

I just realized that though I have already read this story, I hadn't left a reveiw, so here goes: Yay! You fabulous wonderful and truly brilliant person! Not only did you write a Tanya Huff fic, you did so while keeping the characters as true to the book as I have ever seen. The dialougue, humor and ending (otherwise known as the story) feel like they came from a hitherto forgotten sequel that has suddenly been brought to light. Thank you so much for the story, it was truly wonderful.

This...is an AMAZING story. I'm a huge Tanya Huff fan, and I've always bemoaned the fact that she didn't get around to writing a sequel to Gate of Darkness, Circle of Light (as she had originally planned to). If you don't mind, I'm just going to take this story and mentally file it as that missing sequel from here on out. You've got a wonderful grasp of the characters, and the pacing of the story is very balanced. The dialogue, too, is very believable (and with just the right touch of humor), and the ending is formed with more than enough skill to avoid seeming cliched. And, if all this weren't enough to make me fall in love with your story, you referenced "The Last Unicorn," one of my all-time favorite songs/movies/books. You ROCK.

Oh, thank you so much for writing a continuation of the book! I always wanted to see more of Evan and Roland. Please keep up the good work. :)
