Allocin chapter 1 . 5/16/2005
I've never sat and watched "Schindler's List", and the fact that this story made a lump come to my throat makes me dread doing it. But thank you, regardless. A very sensitive treatment of a very sensitive topic.
shadowcat15 chapter 1 . 3/1/2005
It's really well written. You invented a character for whom I cared about. That's something that's hard to do.
Laura of Maychoria chapter 1 . 1/23/2005
This is one of the best stories I've read on this site. The characterizations are very strong and believable. I like the way Qui and Obi are bonding in this difficult situation. I'm glad that Obi is a strong, capable young man, yet still a child. The handling of the situation is beautifully written, all of the sorrow and understanding and horror that this brings. Though the story is leisurely in pace, it is still completely gripping. Well done!
Jandalf the Orange chapter 1 . 2/12/2004
Wow. This depicted the growing bond between Qui-Gon and Obi-Wan very well.
Btw, I think you should use your screen id for a penname! Then I'd know the book was written by you! ;)
ewan's girl chapter 1 . 12/30/2003
What a beautiful, emotional story. You are such a gifted writer and probably my favorite one on this site. You have such a way of describing scenes and also such a great grasp on these characters. Obi was Obi and Qui was Qui...I loved this story, depressing, but wonderful. It really makes you think, esp in times of war and such things that are happening in this world. Please keep up the wonderful work. You are an inspiration to me.
Toria chapter 1 . 12/23/2003
Wow, this was really good! Very moving, i love the way you portrayed both Qui-Gon and Obi-Wan. I also really liked Tawara! Good job!
Seung Mina6 chapter 1 . 12/21/2003

Jedikma chapter 1 . 12/21/2003
Another well written and thought provoking story. First off, I didn't feel any disorganization here-I thought it moved nicely. I really like the way you portray Obi and Qui and their relationship. The atmosphere of the piece was serious without being overly depressing and the discussion between the characters was thourough but not over done. Qui-Gon's explanation of how the genocide is rationalized was clear and concise without being simplistic-I liked how you wrote that! Another point you wrote that I like is Twilek's answer to being angry at the people who do nothing. Injustice needs to be recognized and fought against but not with anger. Of course that is the Jedi way-and I believe that should always be the way. (Easier said than done, of course.) Another part of this story that made an impression on me is the part where Qui shares his grief with Obi-Wan. As a parent it is sometimes hard to know how much grief to share with your children. Their age can make a big difference, however, when something tragic happens that effects everyone I think it is important for a child to see that a parent has grief and that they can comfort a parent. A parent just needs to be careful not to lean too heavily on the child. It becomes a very good bonding experience. That part of your story really touched me. While your story and subject matter is not happy-I can always appreciate a story that expresses that there is always hope and to keep your faith, inspite of how bleak life can become.
