this is like my third time reading this. it's so good, and i'm on the edge of my seat at all times, haha! it's super creative and cool, and real well written! now whenever I think of mush, I find myself thinking about this William character as well lol

You can't just leave me hanging here. I am utterly intrigued, obsessed, completely foolishly falling for this story, for this Mush and his emotions and Blink and his beauty and all these figures meeting each other in the middle to make an utterly amazing story that is somehow, not complete. So all I ask, if a few more updates, a few more words, to bring about the happy ever after so I can find myself more able to sleep at night. It would be dandy, please and thanks. Love.

So. Meat Loaf is my ALL TIME FAVORITE band EVER. So when I saw the title I was like 'lol Meat Loaf' thinking it was an unintentional thing cause not many people like Meat Loaf anymore cause they're lame. But then I saw the summary and was like 'omgyay Meat Loaf!' and I HAD to read it. cause it's a Meat Loaf reference. This is good so far. :D Sorry I can't not know the song till after but whatever. :P

i kind of like your portrayal (at least as it seems to me) of racetrack as a loner. i feel like most of the time in fic he's surrounded by friends etc. but this portrayal of him is really interesting. it's making me think about his character.

ok this is a bland compliment, i apologize, but your description on the rooftop here is top-notch. (actually if you say it with a british accent, it doesn't sound so bland.) everything seems so natural! all the little things each of them are doing - not too much detail to drown in, but instead just these asides to let us in on the scene. it plays out so easily in my head.

i'm still a little confused about the beats stuff, but i like it that way. i mean, i think i know, but i'm trying not to let any assumptions color (translation: colour) how i read them.

ok, last chapter for now because i actually have homework now (semester just started.. boo) and if i don't start reading all my spanish stuff now, it'll never be done by, um, thursday. (but seriously. UGH. MY LIFE. MI VIDA.)

your hangover and insomnia descriptions are trying to give me a headache. also i kind of need a nap so i just feel really bad for mush right now.

also one thing i really like about this story is that it doesn't follow the trajectory of boy-realizes-he-likes-bff-boy-faces-difficulty. not that that isn't a great path in itself, but i like the fact that Mush KNOWS he's in love with Blink, and has BEEN in love with Blink for 8 years! ridiculous! and so much more painful. and we get to bypass the self-discovery bits, which can (can) be tedious.

the other thing i think about when i think about this story. insomniac Mush and how it's the most awful thing in the world. Mush! it's so painful to read, which means you're doing a good job, but also means it's so painful to read! TAKE A NAP, BOY!

ah. what a lovely end. before that, even, man, that breeze. i could feel that breeze. but what a lovely end.

two great lines here: that peculiar sensation of falling forwards .. and "The knocks vibrated deep in his chest, like a heartbeat."

MAN. O. MAN. you've got it. great descriptions of Blink and his vitality.. all the details etch him more firmly into my mind, more clearly - there's never "too much," you know? and mush doesn't need any description, his thoughts and feelings manage to do that well enough.

ok the show is about to start. THIS i remember SO WELL. actually i'd thought it was later on in the story but that was false. gotta read and see if i'm remembering things correctly.

MUSH IS SO HIGH.

this whole thing - the show against the hands thing going on with mush and blink - this is what i remember so clearly when i think about this story. and now, rereading it - wow. WOW. this is just one of the most incredible ff scenes i've ever read. the most incredible. and it builds and builds and BAM. seeya. i don't know what to say except WELL DONE. well done.

i remember the whiskey, but not all the details. just them on a corner being real sloppy. and the fact that they stole so damn much. crazy kids!
