This is insanely well written. I love how Snape is technically ooc but it is perfectly realistic. The way you developed their relationship, just beautiful. Thanks so much and well done!

That was great, true not much for slash but if it's a good story like this one I will read it. The rawness, the emotions and originality was worth it which is hard to find on this site. Well after your author's note at the end of chapter 2. I agree with you about Snape's character. I believe he would hit a breaking point (anyone would especially Snape. He's not Superman and even Superman hits a breaking point in the comics) and his behavior would be off. I also agree that he has and had an outburst at the end of book 3. People need to read the books if they want to understand a character/story more instead of seeing just the movies (which left out a treasure trove of information and butchered many things) then pretend to be an expert. Infuriating if you ask me. I like it so far with the rawness and realistic emotional reactions. Don't listen to the haters, obviously they lived in a made up world behind rose tinted lens. It must be grand to not face hardships and real life. Sorry, I am rambling. On with the story!

I loved this. I can't pinpoint what it was, but I was so entranced by your writing. It felt so real, not dolled up or dramatized. It was just so amazingly realistic - the way Remus and Severus spoke in dialogue made me feel like I was in someone's penseive, watching everything unravel before me. The words you used and how you used them completely changes the story in an untamed, surreal way but it's amazing. I've read so many fanfics but, by God, this is my favourite by far. I loved this so much!

This is such a peculiar story, because the first part is so beautiful and sensitive, and then at the end Remus suddenly hasn't got the patience to understand that traumatised people are prone to relapses involving angry, erratic behaviour, and abruptly turns into a monster almost as bad as Voldemort. And instead of doing what you would expect a badly traumatised man to do if his trauma was reenacted by somebody he thought he could trust - which is to say, to lose all the ground he had gained and fall right back to the dreadful condition he had been in the outset, only now with a total inability to trust any help which was offered to him, ensuring that his mental breakdown would become permanent - Severus meekly decides that he loves his abuser. Which is pretty creepy, because it looks like he's taken his initial meek obedience and loyalty to Voldemort and transferred them onto Remus because Remus has done to him what Voldemort did - he's been conditioned to obey and love somebody who tortures him. And it seems out of character for Remus. Canon Remus is a stone-cold killer (he was going to execute Peter in cold blood in front of children) and takes stupid risks with other people's safety for venal reasons, but he's fairly patient and understanding, and not gratuitously cruel that we see.

Sorry to be so negative, but it really is a deeply psychologically-horrible, ghastly ending to what up till then had been a lovely story.

Good story. A little psychotic at the end but still... There are actually people who tick that way.
And once again, great style of writing!

I was afraid of this story becoming slash. Not my cuppa tea. I will continue though because I really love your style of writing. It is refreshing to see a story where the writer knows how to use words right - not that I would know how to...lol. English isn't my first language but for some reason I know when something sounds right. Keep up the good work!

Ok I'm sorry but there is no way that is a happy ending! And how you made it sound was that they wouldn't make it because one of them is going to die or go insane whichever comes first :( I do like it though because it was so well written and I do love angsty stuff especially if it includes a suicidal Severus

In the best possible way, this made me feel sick, my heart sinking at the brutality of this story. Yes, that is a good thing; it made me feel something strong. Somehow this whole story was right. Probably the most conceivable and realistically damaged fanfic Snape I've read, and a very plausible and painful Snupin. I'm sorry I can't put this into words very well but fantastic job. I know this will stay with me.

I liked the story, but im not sure about the ending.. It seemed a bit rushed, and downright weird.. But else nice story!, I liked the part where Snape 'spilled' it all at the headtable to the other professors

It it has to be a slash pairing involving Snape i think Remus is perfect. He's wasn't a childhood friend but he wasn't an asshole who made severus' life more dificult. I completely agree with the pairing and snape is crazy who are u kidding. Which might be y i like him.
