Wow - that was fantastic! You really have a talent for in depth conversations and stying true to the characters. It was neither sappy nor unrealistic as many other fics are. Well, since you worte this ages ago I guess it doesn't really matter, but I neede to tell you that!

I like this story a lot and I never bothered to drop in a review. I do hope you keep writing! You've got a thoughtful, thorough style and you have a real emotional grasp on your characters. Keep up the good work!

Soo... have you seen the new Hornblower miniserieses? BTW.. good story! I loved Lucas! Well... he was tied with Darwin... of course hugging DArwin gets you rather soggy...

An interesting idea and well-written. I do find it hard to believe that Lucas, who didn't want to stay and watch the movie because he might be in the way, would start to ask if Bridger and Westphalen had slept together. At best, it would be a highly uncomfortable conversation and that didn't come across. I wish there had been more follow up on how Lucas felt about suddenly sharing his life story with the adults.
