Reviews for Between Stars
Guest chapter 24 . 11/27/2019
Wow.
I am in awe at this monster of a story. Best I've read in a long long time. Clean, masterful storytelling, clear arc and plot for every fairy tale, and beautiful expression of human emotion. I love everything about it. I love it when authors really dig deep into the realities of a relationship and portray realistic, un-cliché reactions and behaviors of the characters. I love this reassuring, charming, and affectionate Gordo. And I love conflicted, nasty-with-confusing-reason Lizzie. Everything is so well-thought-out and realistic, I love it.

The only snag is finding out that you've only ever written one story on . And now I'm sad that I can't experience any more of your wonderful writing.

Okay, I don't know where to even begin, but I'd like to say I've definitely enjoyed your fiction; it was so well written. There were many times where I was in disbelief, haha. Thank you for a gem of a story. It was obvious to me the amount of effort you put into it: the research, commitment, and creativity.

Keep writing Faith-Kiamn!D
Slograsso chapter 24 . 6/15/2010

I actually read that fisherman-turned-crane story/fairy-tale thing! Lol, i bet you're tired of hearing from me, but honestly, I haven't had so much fun reading a story in a very long time.

Samantha chapter 24 . 9/12/2006
I just need to tell you that this is honestly one of the best stories I have ever read on Something I often notice in LM stories is that Gordo is hopelessly out of character-they make him too emotional, too confrontational, etc, but your story had him seem perfectly realistic. I have only really noticed that in one of other FF story-Cinderella's Got To Go by SuckerForGrint06, (which, btw, has seemed to have disappeared. Anyone know where it went?). I usually don't like Fantasy-type stories, but I decided to give this one a try and am so glad. This is a great story, you need to write more.

Love, Sam
Christine chapter 24 . 6/14/2006
I must say that I have never seen a more well-written, heart-tugging piece of fanfiction dealing with an adolescent television show- and in fact, this particular story would be somewhere in the top five, I'd say, out of every fandom I have read- and I read a lot of fanfiction.

You've simply done an amazing job, both portraying Lizzie and Gordo, and weaving the characters from the television show with fairy tale themes and plots (several of which I remember from my own childhood). I realize that this story has been finished for some time, but I hope that you return to writing either for this particular fandom or another (I hope this one!).

You should be applauded both for the talent with which you write, and your ability to complete a story- as much as a story can ever be completed.
Daze-dly chapter 24 . 6/1/2006
You are amazing.

I'm so sorry that I won't be doing this story justice by not leaving a better review, but I think I've dried out my eyes from reading and re-reading this story that many times:o)

At first, I wasn't sure what to expect from this story. It's hard IMHO to find good, well-written and well... not so *juvenille* fanfic in the LM fandom. But, I'm a bit of a sucker for best-friends-get-together stories and I obsessively sifted through them like a hound dog on steroids. And BAM! I find yours! THAnk you thank you thank you. I *loved* the plot. So darned original and soo sweet! I swooned everytime Gordo did something totally non-platonic. AND the KISS - or rather, kissES, were pure romantic goodness.

But I think what really made this fic stand out was the clever banter and almost tangible connection between the two which you so eloquently conveyed. More than once, I've had to stuff my mouth to prevent embarrassing myself at my uni computer lab. Loved this: Gordo - "Oy! no wonder we never talk about this." And the "mauling" bit:o) And when he says, "it's bloody rude!" And the image of Matt on the ground. And the marguarita joke. And how everything just *worked* in the end.

*sigh* I just loved it all.

I can definitely see you doing something with your incredible writing skills. I do hope to read more from you someday!

Again, thanks for one great read:o)

Leondra chapter 24 . 11/29/2005
This was a beautiful story. I don't usually read Lizzie McGuire fics, but this is going on my favorites list for sure. Not only is the premise unique and exciting, but it is wonderfully well-written, and Gordo and Lizzie are even in-character, which was a wonderful surprise, considering the circumstances. Bravo.
suitemadameblue86 chapter 24 . 8/2/2005
it was amazing i couldn't stop reading. and now it's 420 am and I've finally finished...haha. great job!
Katie chapter 24 . 6/26/2005
I recently stumbled across your story by accident-I really have no idea how, but I decided to give it a try. I always love a good story, especially a romance. Well, I've read it twice now, and both times it has been by far one of the best stories I've read on I think you should definetly go write a novel today and get it published tomorrow. You have that much talent. I can think of no complaints except for the little spelling errors everyonce and a while and that's forgivable. Good job!

One thing: I have no idea if you did this on purpose or it's an accident, but the names of Am in the real world and the bubble universe are both names of flowers. I'm sure you must have realized that (seeing as how unique Amaryllis-sp? is), but I just caught that and thought I would comment on it.
Babyberry chapter 24 . 6/5/2005
I started this story at about 2 in the morning, thinking it was going to be like any other Lizzie fic I've been finding for the last couple of days and close it in an hour.

Let's just say it's close to 6 in the morning now, and I highly enjoyed this read. Whatever you do, continue to write stories. Your words flow better than some of my favorite authors, and if you ever were to publish a story, I would buy it immediatly.

Thank you for reaasuring me that not all fanfic writers write on a whim (and badly so). This was a joy to read, and it makes me want to pass it on to others (even though I'll have to confess I've been reading Lizzie/Gordo fanfiction!). Again. Thank you. It was a pleasure.
Guest chapter 24 . 2/4/2005

I'll be looking out for any of your future fics and I just thought I'd write to let u know that ur story "touched" (sorry to be so cliched) at least one faithful reader and that in whatever you do I sincerely hope u do well. But u seem to be a good person so i have confidence that u'll succeed;)
