I know I'm a few years late to the party. But I found this and it was amazing. I've always loved the character of Sands (not that any of Depp's characters are boring.) Thanks for the fun!

I just came across this awesome fic recently, after becoming totally infatuated with Johnny Depp and had to get my hands on any movies of him I can find. I love the way you portrayed Sands, and I absolutely adore this fic. I'll be following you in the sequel!

HELL of a good read! In fact... I'm going to read it again. Just because. I loved it completely!

Wow! Very well written, believable in an unbelievable way. I think Rodreguez would be proud.

You kept me guessing which I like very much. No love or redemption which had me doing happy dances. I've never understood why people want to redeem the irredeemable and I'm glad you didn't attempt it. Some characters you can do that with, some you can't the trick is knowing which one your dealing with, which you do. Sand's is a bastard who is likable somehow and you contunued that brilliantly.

I can tell you did some heavy research for which I am eternally grateful. That is uncommon here. I can also tell you plotted like a mad fool which ensured this would be successful. It's another thing writers here (including me) generally fail to do. Your style moves forward and never once did I find myself skimming to get to the good stuff again. The whole thing was good.

I stumbled over a few typo's and incomplete edits but they did not affect my reading which is unusual. I've been known to abandon a story, no matter how interesting it is, for that.

Awesome ending. I've gotta pick up on the sequel, sounds like loads of fun. The only good thing about real life interrupting fan fiction addiction is that when you come back there's usually plenty to get you hooked again.

I love this story. I started reading it in 04, I think, but I stopped reading it when there weren't any more chapters up. And now it's finally finished!

Scarlett...its been a while!

I used to love this fic. And once it was read I ttoally let it slip my mind. I rediscovered it late last night and read 30 chapters then and the rest this morning.

Did I ever tell you I love you? This is pure gold. Someone get RR on the phone. This IS the seques to OUATIM...anything else would just be...dissapointing!

Off to read the sequel now...

First off: amazing story. I couldn't stop reading it, and everything about it was so vivid and realistic, especially Sand's mental (almost) breakdowns. For one who get's hopelessly lost with intrigue and betrayal plots, I followed this one just fine, so kudos to you.

Great ending, but if, as you've mentioned, you're up for a sequel, I would be delighted to read it.

Um...ow. Way to break my heart there. Sands' breakdown was painful to read (as it should be) and seemed very realistic. I'm really starting to like Cam, too, and like what his pov tells us about the situation.

You had better start writing that sequel!
