I'm going to share the link for this story to some friends, As it needs to be read. I loved it and find the m rating not needed as other reviews state.

I fail to understand why this story has been rated M. I know there are a lot of people who do not realize that the automatic filter on blocks M from the listing, and who would really love to read this.

There's little to nothing explicit in this story; but it's a beautiful testament to homosexuality; in real life, in fiction, and in our somewhat dubious future. I've heard a great deal of tales about the way Vulcans might treat homosexuality and I think I like your idea of Spock's paranoia and secrecy the best so far. It's beautifully written and I think it should be allowed to be seen by a wider audience.

Wow...this story is amazing. What with the tears being brought to my eyes and all... I really, really liked it, but more than that, it meant something to me-the tragic progress of the conditions and rights of gay people has always moved me, and though I feel a *little* silly about seeing it anew through Star Trek fanfiction, mostly I just feel empowered. Or something. (I'm not precisely a gay man, so...is empowered really the right word? I feel the same when I watch Malcolm X and Gandhi, and I'm neither African American nor Indian.) Again, wow. Great story. Great metaphor. I'm going to go protest now... *wry grin* Perhaps not immediately, but I do think I'll watch Philadelphia. I've seen parts, and that Antonio Banderas is pretty foxy! REALLY GOOD STORY! Thanks for writing it!
