Wow! Awesome story. I miss Third Watch. Excellent job getting into Jimmy's head. You really felt his pain and his fears. Gripping, emotional story. Props to you. You're a hell of a writer.

ahh i cried so much I thought he was really dead for a while! ahh and what about Joey? I didnt think hed make it! Such a good way to bring them back, casue now Jimmy knows how precious life with Kim and Joey is and yes that is kinda what he needed (not to be mean or anything)...wow this was really good!

Very, very good story. Spelling and grammar are spot-on (a welcome rarity) and you hit the characterizations perfectly. I found myself compelled to read on as fast as I could to find out what happened next.
Good use of descriptive terms to show what's going on for each character and not just a bunch of talking. Very nice.
And your final chapter with Kim in the hospital is my all-time favourite scene in any fanfic I've read to date. Somehow, you managed to nail what I invisioned in my head perfectly. A nice balance of the need and worry and fear that anyone would experience in that situation.

Oh, wow! This one sure has it's ups and downs. Great element of drama, I love it! Especially the first chapter. The imagery was excellent; I felt like I was there. You're very good at forcing the reader to really live the moment. Again, wow!
