   Element's Sole Protector chapter 9 . 5/28 This is... so good that I'm going to have to re-read it again right now. You perfectly capture Harry's voice as a young boy, along with pulling at our heartstrings as we realize along with him that the Dursleys will never care about him in the way he deserves. Petunia is given a lot of depth here, and I did enjoy her having a (brief) crisis of conscience when she saw how far her husband had gone. I want so badly for Harry to be rescued from this by one of his mystery visitors, or by Dumbledore (unless they're one and the same?) but the underlying adherence to canon makes that impossible-and it makes this story even better. I don't know, I'm just... having a lot of feelings about this story... Thank you for writing this. |

I have read too many fanfics where young Harry acted like a little baby all the time, and I can't stand it, because he's supposed to be sarcastic and witty! So thank you for giving Harry his signature temper and sassy remarks! |

You characterize nine-year-old Harry extremely well, and the Dursleys are (for once) not exaggerated in their treatment of Harry. I'm just surprised Dudley hasn't played more of a role. Your writing sounds just like JKR's and fits perfectly into the HP canon. I'm not sure where the elusive final chapter is, but what you have so far is great. I'm wondering who the two (or one?) wizards are. |

You have a great pace going and I honestly can't wait to read what happends next. You cold honestly get Harry to know early parseltongue and not make evil or something.
