You have such a gift for writing Char. I’ve reread all three so many times over the last couple of weeks, I can’t get enough.

This is a good story. Though I personally can't imagine Char wrecking his whole room when he has such a kind nature, this seems to demonstrate what he felt. Great job!

This was amazing. It brought tears to my eyes, your description of Char's heartbreak were that overwhelming and compelling.

I think I have read all of the Char based stories you have written and I am not only thankful for them, but I absolutely had to review this. This was fantastic. I read a lot of fan fiction, and Ella Enchanted is my favorite book since I was a little girl, hands down. I have not cried over a story in a long, long time. This was heart wrenching. Every written word belongs to Char. The detail in the story you extracted from the book is entirely on target. I've probably re-read that book at least twice a year since I was 11 and can almost recite the text from memory. Those flashbacks from his view were so accurately depicted that I know you love the story just as much as I do. His later description in his diary of his reaction to the letter fit your outline too perfectly. His name calling, the disbelief in Hattie's letter, then finality in Ella's script, all of his emotions; they were so vivid. You truly have a wonderful gift in expression. The sole constructive criticism I have is the rage in Char, i.e. the cursing and punching, seemed far too searing an emotion for Char. In the book, he is explained as gentle and kind, however when angered he is slow to forgive. So I can see why, if by himself, he'd behave in such a portrayal. It was however surprising for such anger at that level to come out of him, even if rightly provoked. However the anger, the confusion, the hasty burn of the letters, all of his reactions were so entirely Char that I forgot I was reading a fiction. Thank you for this delight and I hope in the future you consider pursuing your talents.

Awesome! I can just imagine (no matter how much I don't want to) that Char really did this, its so like how he's described himself. I've written Char's pov during the ogre scene you know, but its nowhere near as good as this! Loved it. D Well then, all the best for your future works.
