I wanted to like this story, I really did, because you seem to be a pretty good writer, but no matter what happens next in the story and how much regret Heero ends up feeling, nothing will change the fact that he raped and abused Duo for a year and that is unforgivable.
It pains me and really angers me whenever I see this point of view in fanfiction. That he/she enjoyed it "eventually". That they said "no" but their bodies where saying "yes" (presumably) and that made it ok. It does not make it ok. It is still sexual abuse and it is still rape and no amount of sugarcoating will make it anything else.

I love this story! I am sooo glad that I found it again after all the years!

I really liked the ending, it didn't seemed abrupt or rushed to me. And it didn't have that cheese feeling of 'everything was perfect and they lived happily ever after', they still seem to have things to work out between them, but they want to make it work.

To be honest, I didn't quite like the Master Healer's interference in this last chapter, preachig Heero and stuff. I just think the moment would have a lot more importance and weight if Heero and Duo had worked it out for themselves; they are big boys, they should be able to face their problems without others to meddle. It would be great to see Heero realise the 'angel-image' he had created for Duo looking into Duo's face.

But that's just my opinion, and as I said, I really liked the story, it was far different from the usual 'slave' scenario we're used to, and the couples were very interesting (3xD, 4x5), the romance booming between Heero and Duo was very sweet and the characterizations were very good (it's always a relieve not to see Duo acting too goofy, and Heero chasing Duo like a puppy was so cute! XD).

I love how you made Quatre here. He is selfish and a self-centered aristocrat. Of course he wants to bring happiness to those around him, but he really couldn't see the harm he did to Duo. It's a good change from the typical Quatre we always see, always aware of everything, trying to make *everyone* happy, always the angelical good guy.

I'm really enjoying to read how long it's taking for Duo to warm up to Heero; no matter how good the general was to him, he was still treated as a slave dispite not being one.

Heero, he's trying to tell Duo that he doesn't think of him as an object or possession, right? But sometimes it sounds like he does. For example, at the end of this chapter, Heero thinks 'He will be mine.'

I liked this story a lot! Ahaha, I just realized you finished writing over a year ago. No matter, it’s still excellent and I’m glad I came across it! AU’s with the pilots, in my humble opinion, are the best! I never tire of the master slave thing or the stories that incorporate a sort of old world feel to them. The old world feel are most definitely my favorites tied with historical AU’s, makes things more exciting. Especially when you have a guy/guy couple having to live in such a world.

I found Q to be a little OOC with his grudge thing, but I suppose I could see it happening and actually…in terms of BEING IN CHARACTER I don’t think anyone was really in character, but the story was still magnificent! Keeping these boys in character in such situations must be difficult. Well I enjoyed reading and added the story to my favorites list!

Another thing which I loved about it so much was the light love. It wasn’t WHAM in your face. It was light and soothing. No detailed sex scenes (which I like as much as the next person but find them to lower the quality of the story, even if I have written a few myself!) so it was amazing! I think I might go off to see if you have written anything else that is utter brilliance!

Oh, and funniest thing. I’ve taken Japanese and when I saw the name Hiro originally called Duo, Kirei, I was like…huh? Because I rarely see romanji, so I was so thrown off. Anyway, loved the story! -FG

You know I read this story long ago (in Calic0cat's page, if I'm not mistaken) and long time after that, I add you here on FF because I crossed paths with your "Rules of Attraction" fic, and I just notice you're the same person! I know it's finished already, but I liked this fic a lot. It was great and I think it started in a very original way. You have weird but good starts in your stories, makes them quite unique.
