OMG. this is literally the best Spike/Faye fanfic I've ever read. It was so beautiful and not cliché. Spike struggling with mental health adds a bit more realistic aspect to CB universe. I'm glad you can show such a vulnerable layer of him, it made him a lot more likable. The whole story with its twists and turns, but it ends off with a beautiful way of Spike finally wanting to live. I'm also really happy with how Spike's feelings were revealed: he didn't end up saying it. Honestly that was really in-character and it frustrates me when Spike is confessing to Faye in other fics, and all I can think about it Shinchiro Watanabe saying "he's not the straightforward kind of guy. When there's a girl in front of him that he really likes he, most likely, is going to ignore her." I love love love how you kept to that. This is my first fic of yours that I ever read and I honestly hope there's more. Faye was a phenomena of her own. She was beautiful, through the way Spike described her and just her character in general. I'm really happy with the way you kept her strong and angry because that's Faye Velntine for you right there, but you added a more touching element to her character. The dynamic between Spike and Faye remained and I honestly couldn't be more happy with that. I'm glad I gave this fic a chance. It took up my entire weekend, but its honestly such a good fic. Wonderful job!

spike committing suicide; spike crawling into fetal position; and spike working as an errand boy is just too OOC for me. XP

Wow, OK. I think I need to read this story one more time before I can properly take in all the emotions, feelings, twists, turns and pure ingenuity of this story. I love this story. It moved at just the right pace, and the development of Spike's feelings seemed balanced and not contrived at all. I must say, it felt very refreshing to see a longer Cowboy Bebop story written from Spike's perspective. And you do it so well! The inner conflicts between his emotions and his obligations are very powerful. And having him see Julia is a very nice touch, as I think it works very much as a parallel to his relationship with Faye. I like how, in the end, he realizes that Faye has not taken Julia's place, but has instead provided him with something more real, a relationship based on hope, and faith.:)

"When he fell in love with Faye, in the very back of his mind a voice said, “If she loves me, I can live. I can live. I can live...” He wanted to live, and he hated himself for it."

Yeah, that made me cry.:) Anyway, that was a long, rambling comment, I hope you at least get the gist of how much I love your story. Thanks SO MUCH for writing this, you're my hero!

im not sure how to review this but this written peiece is probably the most well done cowboy bebop fan fiction ive read yet and i dont think that'll change anytime soon. all the characters are beyond in character. the story doesnt gloss over any problems. it isnt overly sappy nor angsty or whatever. its spot on. a intriguing and fast paced plot that always keeps me interesting. i hope you keep on writing seriously! this fanfic world doesnt have enough authors like you. haha alright im done with the sucking up but its true.
